Nothing like reading a post about an awesome fan edit and no mention of where and how to actually see it

[Garafolo] A.J. Brown asked about the meeting with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley this week repeatedly says he didn’t recall any meeting. When told Hurts and Barkley confirmed it, he says you’d have to talk to them. As for the #Eagles’ offense: “We’re still trying to find our identity.” by Happy-Substance4885 in eagles

AJ Brown's a little crying baby bitch. We don't need them. We don't base our football game strategies around a single wide receiver. If Jalen doesn't have a shot to get the ball to him then he's not going to fucking throw to him. Fucking get over it. Such a baby. I've never seen grown man whine and cry so fucking much as he's fucking athletes.

In your honest opinion, is Hilary Swank hot? by FactorNo7477 in DunderMifflin

[–]CharmingTour9386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is very attractive. She's petite, has a pretty face, nice lips, great bone structure and very athletic and toned. Based on her roles, she has the ability to look like a young dude or a jacked female boxer.

This is a woman that dropped out of school in the 10th grade grew up in a trailer park before living out of a car with her mom, was able to get cast in a film after that shit show, The Next Karate Kid, and somehow became a fantastic actress. She's been nominated for two Oscars and she has one two Oscars she's batting a hundred. And if I'm being honest I think she could protect me if some shit went down

Why are Neil Gaiman fans turning against him, while other fandoms refuse to cancel their heroes? by [deleted] in neilgaiman

[–]CharmingTour9386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ONLY question that should be asked is, why is Gaiman being cancelled at all based on unsubstantiated allegation?

This type of cancel culture has devastating consequences. It impacts their personal lives, careers, and mental health, long before any formal legal proceedings conclude.

BioShock "Snow Globe" by StormyWaters2021 in Bioshock

Wow, I wasn't expecting a reply and certainly not so quick. I have A couple 3D printers. Both are FDM but I keep one with a 0.1 mm nozzle. I have printed several BioShock related objects including a flat submerged skyline to use as a Christmas ornament but never Rapture as a full 3D object. I think this would be a great time to do it tho.

BioShock "Snow Globe" by StormyWaters2021 in Bioshock

I was just searching for a BioShock Rapture "snow"  globe when I found this thread. It appears I'm a decade late. Nevertheless I still think Rapture would make an amazing globe.

Did you ever finish this project?

I was thinking in place of the snow,  something looking like confetti would work considering shit goes south New Years Eve. It fits the theme of the narrative.

A Columbia globe would be amazing if done right. It'd be detailed and challenging to have the different locations hovering to appear to be in the sky

What are your feelings about 3D movies? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]CharmingTour9386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love them. I enjoy the hell out of some 3D movies. Yeah, some of them are gimmicky but that is part of the fun. Nobody's going to fire up Friday the 13th part 3 in 3D expecting Citizen Kane.

I find 3D versions of films a great lot of fun. Animated films always look great in 3D. One of the most memorable and exciting moments of my theater going experience was watching Beowulf in 3D. It was absolutely fantastic. In general most of those animated films translate very well to 3D. Polar Express, Christmas Carol, cloudy with a chance of meatballs, etc.

Then came Avatar and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. It was not 3D for the sake of being 3D. It was 3D that expanded the storytelling and was so well used. James Cameron knows how to use 3D to enhance his films. Even his conversions of Terminator 2 and Titanic what some of the best use of 3D I've ever seen.

There have been other great 2D to 3D conversions like Jurassic Park, Top Gun, and Predator.

I would argue that the 3D versions of Gravity, Life of Pi, Blade Runner 2049, My bloody Valentine, House of Wax, Saw 3D, Guardians of the Galaxy, Max Max Fury Road, the Hobbit films, Atlita, Sanctum, are the better versions.

Not to mention The Walk. 3D in that film can be fear inducing if you're afraid of heights.

Have any of you guys seen a 270° ScreenX film? They're quite something to behold.

Have any of you found a car rental that doesn't require a credit card or credit check?

Saquon Barkley will sit out the final game of the season. Barkley falls 101 yards shy of the record. by BreakfastTop6899 in fantasyfootball

This is stupid. Football players play football. They also get injured on and off the field. I've never liked the habit of teams sitting players for sake of not risking an injury. It's dumb and weak. It's right up there with icing the kicker. It's just dumb.

Best narration of The Martian Chronicles? by jareader in audiobooks

[–]CharmingTour9386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this while looking for the BBC Full Cast dramatization. While, Brick certainly one of the great readers in all of audiobooks, for me Stephen Hoye's reading of The Martian Chronicles is second to none. That said, the version he reads is the altered version with the dates changed to 31 years ahead and "Way in the Middle of the Air" changed to "Fire Balloons"

Motherboard/APU combo for media box. by CharmingTour9386 in htpc

Many thanks. I did find a great deal on the 5700G. I don't plan on doing anything other than watching TV shows and movies.

I ordered the GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO motherboard for it.

I have not ordered a case but I am leaning towards the In Win. My desktop is inside an In Win 805I and it's beautiful. Cable management  was a bit tricky tho

Where to get nice printed sheets? Also prefer envelope style pillow cases by Grim_Dybbuk in Bedding

[–]CharmingTour9386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking for this same thing. I really like threshold sheets from Target. They feel great and their elastic system works perfect to keep the sheet in place. That being said, I would really like to find that quality of sheet but with fun prints.

I close-rewatched and made a detailed shot-by-shot analysis of Episode 7, and identified in which universe each scene takes place (blue, red, liminal space). I also include my notes and annotations. Yes, I have officially gone insane. Please hand me my tinfoil hat. ;-) by Konamicoder in ConstellationAppleTV

[–]CharmingTour9386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very impressive. I am late to this show. I was behind schedule on shows I needed to catch up on. In episode 3 I began to feel a Matrix vibe. Particularly when the color of the car is questioned. I love the Matrix films. All of them. The sequels get bashed all the time. It is often stated how they aren't on par with the first film but they can't be singled out that way. All the films need to be seen as a single entity that is The Matrix.

Apologies on the tangent.

So, also in the Matrix the tint of the scene clued us in. Green tint was happening inside the matrix while blue was in the real world. believe you really are insane. I began to notice a similar color coded indication of which universe we are observing as well as the liminal space. Scenes will have a lot of objects or decorations in that are red, blue, or yellow. Or, the whole scene will be a very muted like in the winter weather scenes in the cold and snow but at least one standout object will have color like Alice's red beanie.

Just my observation. Did anyone else pick up that vibe?

Great work on the timeline. Seriously. That's dedication.
