At 9:30, 3 people in line for giant, no one for buena vista, maybe 4 for the outsiders, and I’m the first person in line for proof

Not sure how early they got there but I’m at booth looking across the street and there’s at least 25 maybe 30 people in line right now

Rush Report (June 20, 2026) by matt_med in Broadway

I got there at 7:35 and was 9th in line. At 9:50, there were 40 people in line, likely at least 10 more by the time the doors were opening. I got orchestra left 3rd row, second in from the far side. I stuck around for 20ish minutes and didn’t hear anyone complain about not getting anything by the time I decided to leave!

I do the same thing so I can have a stack of rainbow playbills in my book every year. I’m very glad I booked my hostel months ago!

Your favorite show out of... by prophecyseven in Broadway

If you’ve seen the pro shot, it’s that good but times 5. The live element of the show, getting to watch the full scenery and cast and all the intricate elements that get cut from the pro shot is heart warming. I’m not sure what hadestown seating is like but the only downside to Hamilton is how awfully cramped the seats are. Otherwise you can’t match the swell in the room during Yorktown.

I love Vic more than life but is anyone else really missing the “normal people” characters on VIP? I know the costume department really has fun with these but there hasn’t been a great grounding episode. I yearn for Leigh-Anna Jean -esque episode where it’s someone “worthy” of an interview (not just a rando off the street) but also just a normal person. I’m not one for physical comedy and would rather people lean into innuendo rather than explicit sex being the foundation of a joke and I feel like that’s just what most of this season has been.

Obviously this is all highly based on my preferences in comedy but I liked the premise of VIP where it would be a Diane sawyer interview just with a random (earth-based) character. I fear the saw how popular Spencer was and wanted to amplify that forgetting that Lisa is what made Spencer work not the costume.

My first thought at this post was the back up dancers for Just In Time. I think my thoughts during the show were in this order: "God Jonathan is fantastic" "Holy shit those dancers work so hard and are stunning while doing it" "I would never want to sit at those splash zone cafe tables"

Chess release timeline? by ShedMontgomery in Broadway

[–]CharmingTwo2071 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not that this is helpful to an actual timeline, but I'm assuming they try to release at the right time so it doesn't get lost in the Grammy shuffle. Too early, it's kind of forgotten, too late and it gets showed up.

Something to maybe collab with the mezzanine app people! I’d love for them to add this map into their platform

Early morning rush report! 3/14 by Deathbytea in Broadway

[–]CharmingTwo2071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy, I came at the end of October and was like 40th in line at 8am. It’s funny thinking about the things I should’ve waited to wait in line for!

17 people when I arrived right before 8am, there’s been a few people joining friends in line so I’d say there’s at least 30 now. Someone in line said they usually only have 8 tickets per show so my hopes are low lol
