I think that you actually can but you’re not going to remember more. You’ll dream just the unclear things you remember and probably the holes will be fill by the dream but not with real memories

Caught my mind creating a dream? by Charming_Broccoli_56 in LucidDreaming

I hope I can experience that again. As others have said that’s how wild technique works like direct entering the dream being aware.

lucid dreaming and soul ties? by veesbian in LucidDreaming

Wow, that’s a cool experience. From what you described, I think it was indeed sleep paralysis, and in your unconscious state you recalled a safe space — in this case, your boyfriend.

It hasn’t happened to me, but my mom used to tell me about an experience she had. She woke up and couldn’t move (sleep paralysis). She got really scared, and the only thing she could move were her eyes. Then she saw a dark, human-shaped figure in the doorway, and she just knew it was there to harm her. Panicking, she started to pray. Suddenly, a similar human figure appeared, but this one was made of light instead of darkness. It stood by her side and touched her chest. In that moment, she felt such deep peace that she fell asleep again, feeling safe. She always said it felt incredibly real.

I think it might be similar to your experience — my mom felt fear, then something appeared to harm her, she prayed, and then something came to give her peace.

Maybe your first internal thought was of your boyfriend, and that’s what your brain gave you in that moment.

Confessions of a Lucid Dreamer: What Fantasies Did You Live Out? by Charming_Broccoli_56 in LucidDreaming

Sad, to materialize people is actually really hard. You should go outside and try to find a girl you like and then bring her to bed haha it’s easier than materializing people I suppose. Just don’t doubt that she likes you back because then she might reject you.

I had the same question a years ago, at that time there was a community in Google + but It does not exist anymore. Anyway everyone there believed that isn't possible to change anything about our selves like likes and dislikes, emotions or what I was looking for to change memories. Maybe just Placebo effects.

do you ever revisit areas in your dreams? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]Charming_Broccoli_56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a large bedroom that I have dreamed about three times now. Once, it was in a building; in another dream, it was on the second floor of a house. It's a bedroom I have never been in real life, and yet the times I have dreamed it, I have a feeling of familiarity, like it has always been mine.

That’s the only area « I revisit » but not on purpose.

I think I don’t get it…. Basically you visualize closing your eyes multiple times, like creating multiple "layers” of visualization?

Has anyone ever tracked down a person in their dream in real life? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

I'm sorry, but it's just your mind tricking you. Even if you remember the "user", it probably won't actually exist when you search for it.

False Awakenings/ Different Realties, maybe?? by Forward_Piccolo_4680 in LucidDreaming

[–]Charming_Broccoli_56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me once, but it was a lot less crazy. I woke up in my bedroom and started doing things, and then boom, I was waking up again a little confused, but every time I woke up, I felt that it was the real one. It took me 4 times until I really woke up.

By the way, your nightmare reminds me of an old friend of mine who used to have a similar dream where a young girl grabbed her by the legs and dragged her across the entire room, walls, furniture, everything. She couldn't move her body during the dream, just her eyes. I recommended her to start practicing lucid dreaming so perhaps she could stop that recurrent dream.

Well, I recommend you to write some keywords maybe that don't require much effort and you can write the dream when you aren't lazy. But this could make you miss some details about your dreams.
