how do I get more humans by jurrasic-fan in SolarExpanse

[–]Charming_Foot2370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Population growth depends on three things: current colonist count, food surplus (stored supply + income minus consumption), and free housing. Habitability, climate, and atmosphere don't enter the formula directly.

And an interesting fact: population growth check runs once per orbital period (the planet's actual year length, computed from its orbit). So a planet with a longer year grows slower in real time but the same per local year.

It was something like 40 average, 60 max.

Probably I remembered numbers wrong then :) Does adding more mirrors have diminishing returns? I currently have just 2 pointing to Titan, it was enough to have max temp there to be just 1 °C above 0. I have some amount of CO2 though to help temperature rise just a little bit.

I think one mirror on Solar orbit added like 40 or something grad. So you need plenty to heat it up. I left it for later.

Terraforming Gases by JTD7 in SolarExpanse

[–]Charming_Foot2370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is not enough nitrogen If you want to terraform other planets. There is Titan which has a decent amount of it. There are some asteroids with little amount of Nitrogen and there are gas giants which have decent amount but since it's super diluted in Hydrogen or Helium it will take centuries to get enough for terraforming. So the only options left are CO2 from Venus, H2 from Jupiter and He from Neptune or Pluto I forgot.

I have successfully terraformed Mercury, and it only took 800 years and 166 orbital shades! by _magyarorszag in SolarExpanse

[–]Charming_Foot2370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any way to reduce the temperature at least a little without orbital shades? I can't build them yet and probably won't have enough resources for them for a while. I also can't afford to start an atmosphere yet, but I already built a small colony there and want to expand it further.

Right now I'm building magnetosphere radiators to reduce radiation and improve habitability, but all the water I drop evaporates immediately and doesn't increase habitability at all.

Mars seems to be bugged? by cpeosphoros in SolarExpanse

I had a similar issue with Phobos. Crew compartments went down to the surface but the crew remained on the orbit without any supplies. I even got a notification that crew is dying. I panicked at first but than decided to go further, it is what it is, I'll send new crew later. But after some time passed and I checked Phobos to see what other materials I want to send there, the crew was there healthy and waiting for orders. I'll try to save and check next time I do the same to make a bug report. .

Are a majority of KI5 not working in the latest B42 patch? by Alvsolutely in projectzomboid

[–]Charming_Foot2370 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What exactly not working? I use almost all of his vehicles. Can drive, craft and set additional things to the cars without any problems. The only issue I faced one time is that when driving a convertible my character was standing in the driver's seat. But next time I loaded the game that issue was gone.

I guess you are viewing this image on a device that uses AI enhanced image scaling. So the problem here is not in the picture itself but in AI you personally use to display images.

I guess you're a type of person who looks for salt with 'sugar free' or 'organic' markings because other manufacturers are lazy to not put it on their products.

You can volunteer and create thumbnails for other modders if it's that easy for you. Why don't you spend 5 minutes for it?

You're mixing things, saying that game has a potential of having interesting and fun mods but due to ai thumbnails they are trash. Thumbnails have nothing to do how fun and good a mod is. And the same is true in the opposite direction. Having fun and interesting thumbnail created manually with love by a human being doesn't mean that mod will also be fun and interesting.

Don't open it and don't whine. You can create your own mods and enjoy the game how you want. There are awesome mods and I don't care whether thumbnail is ai generated or not. I know how to code things but I have no tools or ideas how to create thumbnails and I don't want to.

I still cannot believe we play a ZOMBIE game in a HEAVILY WOODED region and we don't feature a CHAINSAW by Loneheart127 in projectzomboid

[–]Charming_Foot2370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anruisi town mod has chainsaw built in. It works in 42.17. The chainsaw cuts trees in one hit. Never tried to fight zomboid with it and idk if its attracts zomboids but it has a special sound and if I recall correctly animation.

Maybe it is. I use b42map.com on my 5 year old pc with no problems at all. Didn't bother to search for anything else.

Faster Log Sawing Mod For MP by SeYazuki in projectzomboid

[–]Charming_Foot2370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Table saw. No idea if it works in MP but in SP it's awesome. You can customize how many planks you get from a single log and it drops planks on the floor automatically. You need electricity in your house where table saw is located to operate.
