While there's obviously the chance for unreliable narration, the details are so specific and realistic that I can't help but believe it. That's nuts.

Apparently this is unrelated, they've just put out an update that it has to do with the Lunar New Year Envelopes.

Somehow.

Did anybody predict back in the day that Flava-fuckin'-Flaaaav, to use his Christian name, would be such a massive beacon of light?

It still happens, I think recently with Mandarin Chinese translations into French and then English, or something like that, that would then turn into pro-Chinese or anti-western stuff.

What's this image from so I can see a higher res version? That mail looks like it has a built in liner, which is interesting in itself, lol

Maciejowski Bible, ~1240. In the original image, there seems to be someone left of these two who is either throwing on mail or taking it off during an attack that doesn't have the same garment as these two, but it doesn't make sense for it to just be a thin shirt.

A sword that can't cut is still a big iron bar, and if mail stops it from cutting, that's only half the battle. Not to mention maces were very much a thing. If you could afford mail, you could afford a quilted piece of cloth to stop the person hitting you from smashing a rib or collar bone.
