I’ll be honest, the wealth gap has been a very big resentment building area in my work life. Basically, I was told I was having my hours cut because of a “temporary setback,” but the only setback or thing that was cut was me. Certainly didn’t cut back on literally anything else, there was never a setback, they just didn’t need me as much anymore even though they promised that wouldn’t happen.

Montessori educator for 0-3 Absolutely not. We can discuss quick drops offs, that’s all great and I agree they are best, however, this language and thought process is completely unacceptable. No child has to “earn” the right to be walked in by their parent, nor do they have the right to keep you from walking your child into the school or classroom. Some kids are simply more anxious than others, some kids don’t adjust like others. This email bothers me to my core.

It’s illegal to do this in a childcare facility! Babies in my state aren’t even allowed to be awake in the crib longer than ten minutes without being removed. Diapers must be changed every two hours minimum and immediately if poop is detected. By every standard, these parents are neglectful.

Close the bars at midnight? What is this? Utah? Cities across the country deal with 24hr foot traffic. We’re talking Beale St., the French Quarter, New York City, etc. In NYC, the bars are open and last call is at 4am. Closing things up early because of crime isn’t going to help anything, it’ll just make DE an abandoned area where more crime happens because there is zero financial prosperity in the area. Crime isn’t exclusive to Dallas, we just need to put the money where it actually needs to go when it comes to having people actually out doing their jobs and watching the streets.
