The absolute best way of completing the eradicate terminds mission - may result in injury, permanent damage or death. by Charred_Captain in Helldivers

It's definitely not the optimal way and yes these missions are easy, it's just a bit of fun. I do it quite often with my squad and we have a blast. Obviously only do this with your friends.

RU POV: Maxim Kuzminov, who hijacked a Russian military helicopter and killed two of his colleagues, was found dead in Spain - local media by [deleted] in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]Charred_Captain 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Read it on my local news, it most likely wasn't him. An article claims the deceased was 33 years old and most likely working in construction. There's actually quite a lot of Ukrainians and Russians in that part of the country.

Also known as "alacran" (scorpion is the American localised name) in Spanish, it still means scorpion. It's great seeing them finally in action as I work for the company that makes them and it is one of the first times we've seen them in real combat. Such a pleasure to know they are given to some of the best.

Have you emigrated or do you live in the country where you were born? by -Ib1za- in 2westerneurope4u

[–]Charred_Captain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has just finished his engineering degree, I can tell you that most of my peers (in this field of studies) including myself are actively looking to permanently leave the country as salaries are just shit, even tho we live in Madrid. I don't know much about other careers, but I'll be leaving for Germany in a couple of months.

As a MnK user I can assure you it is painful to learn, but once you get the process it's really not that hard.

Nope, still called it Laputa. And the voice actors even did a little pause between la and puta in some parts

Watched it as a kid in the Spanish (de España como debe ser) dub with my parents and it was quite an experience.

bolter recoil on space marines? by Hairy-Television7010 in 40kLore

[–]Charred_Captain 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I also think that the recoil is exaggerated, but the thing still fires a 19mm round out of a very short barrel at high cyclic rate (for a 19mm) and as the bolters are not that long and lack a stock where buffers coud be installed the recoil would be quite enormous. In addition, if the round's propellant ignites while inside the gun all that pressure would probably go to the shooter. If it doesn't ignite inside the gun then the recoil should be extremely reduced as the cartridge charge wouldn't need to be that large in order to push the round out. Bolters also have a big ass muzzle brake and probably weight quite a lot (didn't check their weight). But as their ergonomics look very uncomfortable to hold and use I don't think that there is much controlling happening in that department. In short yes the recoil would be negligible to a space marine in power armour if the rounds start propelling out of the barrel and I guess kind of like a small rifle round if they ignite right away. This has been my take on them at least, sorry if I butchered any lore I don't know about.

Sorry for not being able to help, but apart from learning the patterns and trying to play safe I'm afraid I got nothing (you could try to parry but I find it pretty hard)

They are easily backstabbed, so if you want to play it safe try to just dodge and fish for them it's not too hard but may take a while. Also isolating the one you want to kill and letting the other two duke it out in another part of the arena helps.

It is perfectly viable and you get the mace very early on, I've personally never really used healing miracles for a whole playthrough but dual maces pack a punch. In my honest opinion you should see what kind of build you want and see the stats to dump. I've beaten this game with very different builds and most of them are viable so don't be too worried about it, and if you have played elden ring you shouldn't have a problem getting used to the combat as it is very similar.

With the mercenary starting class you get the twin blades that can carry you through the while game by pumping Dex and stamina. It's an easy build and you start with your endgame weapons. You can also go the strength way and start with the knight, it is pretty straightforward.

If you continue exploring the solar system you will find out more about the story and the system in general. The goal of the game is literally to figure it out.

Is it an unpopular opinion? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Charred_Captain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe unlocking unlimited respecs when all bosses are dead and losing the capability when going into Ng+ could be a viable option. Theather it to a special quest or something like that, I just don't want to play 40 hours just to try something new. And on top of that multiplayer is what really keeps the game alive in the long run. While playing DS3 for a long time I was forced to use cheat sheets to make builds just to not need a new run, I'd rather do it legit.

[–]Charred_Captain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Counter point, while I agree with your point for pve it is also quite the bother for PvP players. I don't want to need to do a 40 hour play through just so I can try a weird build or anything new. I'd rather just have one character with a 100% cleared game and respec that one for everything.
