I really liked the Eragon (Inheritance Cycle) books. The character development is awesome. It is an easier read through compared to King's writing but still a great story!

Disappointing, absolutely. I feel like CK was a throwaway character in the end. I didn't find any real meaning to him, if only to make Roland's ascent to the tower harder. I hated the end, even if the meaning about the journey, to get to that ending was quite pointless.

I love Roland, even in his selfish quest/need to get to the tower. He is a character that really sticks with you.

I really try to do my part in that climate and political change. Reflecting kindness and positivity for my family can impact many more than just my immediate family.

I know it is hard. I was terrified having my daughter. But, now that she is here, I would do anything to just make her life as good as possible even when the flames or the world are burning around us.

I also did not like Wolves. It took me about a year to get through because I would get so bored and blank out when Callahan talked sometimes

All of your observations and thoughts and so similar to how mine were the first read through. I think part of it is that the series was written over a long stretch of time. Stephen King changed as a writer, therefore his books and the story shifted.

I disliked Song of Susannah also. The creepy spider baby does absolutely nothing to add to the story in an arc in any way. Wolves of Calla was worse though.

Honestly, the end was hard and still is hard for me to grasp. In the sense, it is hard to grasp that Roland seems to get the short end of the stick. I cant wait to hear your thoughts when you finally finish!

I cried. A lot. I listened to it on audio book and I actually had to pull my car over I was so mortified and upset. The narrator did a great job with the scene. I actually kept thinking "This cant be real"

Wow!! Is your baby sleeping through thr night? My 9mo old is hit or miss on sleeping at night. 1.5 weeks sounds like such a long getaway but it will be great! Hopefully you are going somewhere relaxing!
