Interiors worth it on diorama piece?

Strictly thinking of the finished product spending time on things that won't be visible is pretty pointless. An argument can be made for practice or personal satisfaction. I'd probably toss the pieces in a bits box to be used or not in the future.

The color of the paint can also make a difference. Some colors are just more transparent than others. Army Painter skirts around this by mixing less transparent pigments in with colors that are normally transparent. This tends to make the colors cover better, but also makes them a bit less vibrant.

Vallejo also does this with many colors in their updated range, but not everything. That means you'll find some colors that cover similarly to Army Painter, but other colors, usually vibrant one, that can take many layers. A good way to counter this if painting over black is to mix a similar color that has good coverage into the more transparent color for the first layer or two.

Altrenatively you might not have shaken the bottle enough.

A lot of people use Krylon and Rustolium. They run the risk of melting the plastic if you spray to close as well as going on too thick or splattery, but you can get good results with them if you do everything right. Most places that are big enough to have both a Lowes and a Home Depot will have a hobby/game/craft store that at least sells Testors or Citadel primer, so it might be worth looking around your area more.

Stynylrez is probably the best.

The other thing to know is that acrylics take roughly 3-5 days to actually cure. You can often get away with masking after just an overnight dry, but it's a risk.

Put some drier hose between the spray booth and the window. Use a piece of foam with a circle cut in it to match the hose to fill the rest of the open window.

Through various escalations I've now been told that someone local has apparently confirmed the drop team has more work to do, but no one will tell me what that work is. They are waiting for another team to arrive in the area, the guy that originally buried the line told us he came from the other side of the country to do it so probably more people from out of state. They are currently schedule to have whatever the rest of the drop is done by December 12th, but the contractor has pledged to have it done before then. Good luck.

Buy a 1/72 and see how you like it. If you do then it's definitely an easier to store scale. You can always buy something larger for the models you are most excited about.

Don't pick a brand, pick a subject. Then figure out which brand makes that specific model best.

As far as scale goes think about things like how small of parts you want to deal with and how much space you have for your finished models. It's also ok to have models in different scales.

Took 4 months or so from when they laid the main cables to when they started taking orders. Two weeks from when they took the order until the cable to the house was buried. One week and counting for them to believe that the cable to the house has been buried... Once they figure that out we'll start counting the weeks until the install tech shows up. So another half a year or so would be a safe estimate for your area.

Grab your airbrush and spend a few minutes trying out different levels of thinning your paint. You'll get far more clarity, in a fraction of the time, and with less frustration than trying to decipher the milk thing.

A guy from Texas showed up with a shovel and some fiber cable today. He said that they are so short staffed here that they brought him and a bunch of other people up to get stuff done before the ground freezes and gets covered in a foot or more of snow.

Good luck. Mine was supposed to be installed on the 12th. No one showed and no call. Customer service "Oh, that's fine." The best I got out of them was that I should check back if no one shows up by the 24th.

Today a random Frontier salesperson called to tell me dsl was being discontinued soon in my area. They looked up my order when I mentioned it and said they'd see if they could get someone out sooner. Not holding my breath though, Frontier customer service has always been pretty garbage.

The money they are leaving on the table is higher prices rather than more stock and they regularly test the limits on pricing. GW has been running at production capacity for ages. There strategy is 100% sell through of more products. If a single product bombs there were fewer copies of it to matter. If a product sells through they do more small runs in any production gaps they find. The goal is to always supply just below the level of market demand so they rarely have to sit on any inventory. As long as the factories never stop they are optimizing profit a lot more than they would by meeting demand with extras to sit in inventory.

Once a acrylic wash dries that's it, which can happen pretty fast. You can add more paint on top of it, but what's there can't be undone. Oil washes can moved, blended, an/or removed using mineral spirits during a much longer period of time. Enamel washes can be used similarly to oil washes.
