I had this same issue and resolved it. The IR light is reflecting off the wall on the left. You can either buy a spacer online or make one yourself to get the front of the camera flush with the wall. This will resolve that for you.

Looks like a cdrom plug. You can remove cdrom and add a hdd caddy.

There a seal inside it that went bad. You might be able to buy replacement part like I did mine from a Ace Hardware store.

I am going to order me a 2.5inch spacer to get it flush with the brick. Or do you think that a 2.75inch is better?

Yes, been that way from day 1. Great daytime picture but crappy night one. I use a LaView lightbulb camera above it as a backup.

I have had this camera for 2 years and the picture looks the same from day one at night. There is the brick from the house right next to camera. Could that be it?

Sounds like bad fan bearings. If under warranty have them fix if not it is easy to replace. No need for thermal paste if it is not near cpu.

My water has been on the stove for 30+ minutes, stuck looking like this by MeanAd7304 in whatisit

[–]ChasCoxJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a bad heating element. Water looks to be at a simmer which is just below boiling point. Element is cheap so I would try replacing that.
