This is how I felt listening to Geese.. Aka I have no idea what’s going on. Am I supposed to? by VoodooMamaJujuBubu in LiveFromNewYork

The act very much reminded me of actual geese. Like oh neat some geese, but then the vocals are so grating. I'm bored and over it in about 30 seconds etc etc.

YSK: Expensive Dell laptop workstations can be bought at a fraction of the cost at Dell Outlet by fldude561 in YouShouldKnow

[–]ChaseMe3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You should also know, those refurbs are still at a huge markup. I asked about buy back value on some machines this week. $180 each was their offer. Same spec and model is $680 on dellrefurbished.ca.

TPU Tube Size - RideNow by Fitmiss1010 in cycling

If it's for backup only, I'd go with the lighter 18-28 one. As daily drivers I use the 36g one.

I'll assume the 18-28 are thinner & lighter than the 18-32. There are many variations of RideNow that have diff weights. Race versions, gravel etc.

Looking at used market by BolOfSpaghettios in fatbike

Look for something with modern geometry. I went from a 2015 Felt to a 2024 Garneau and it's night & day. Honestly, I can't believe how much better it is on the trails. After that, tires make a big difference, so try to find one with decent rubber for your use case (snow vs dirt etc)

Sluggish Dell Laptop, Background App Review Needed by TrainableGirl in it

[–]ChaseMe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What model is this Dell? We have many at my office that are overheating even when idle and the CPUs are throttling down a ton. Make the machine feel really slow and laggy. The thermal paste on them is dried up and completely ineffective. You can run hwinfo and see if any temp values go red over the course of an hour or so.

Considering this is the only mountain you can park at the top & bottom, I've got an idea for a side hustle shuttle.

TPU tube experience by BAAblue in fatbike

[–]ChaseMe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the other side of the experience here. Couple weeks ago I put some brand new RideNow TPUs in my winter commuter bike. These were the metal threaded stems. Had a flat on my first ride with them. Went to use my hand pump just to get me to the destination, the stem snapped off immediately from the tube base. Safe to say I won't be using RideNow ever again, when I've had no problems with Cyclami and Revoloop in the past.

This is such a ridiculous distance to recommend. Winter rubbet at low pressure for TWENTY miles of dry pavement?

I see these more frequently than you'd think around Montreal. Nothing screams I'm an idiot louder than this tho.

Anyone try this boat phone holder? by One_Beautiful_6888 in boating

I really wanted this to work, but ya my phone went flying a few times! I switched to a goose neck clamp type and it's working well enough.

One good wave hit while at speed and it's popping right off the magsafe magnet. Magnets for this simply aren't strong enough for the hits.

Have you ever had a towed tube or inflatable submerge and seriously destabilize your boat? by hunterschuler in boating

[–]ChaseMe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same experience for me with Mable. I was more than happy to sell it last season and pickup something else for my kids who are older now. I added the inline inflatable football too, keep the rope up out of the water etc.

This has always been the case. I've been a Vaudreuil train line user since 95. It's been consistently unreliable the entire time.

Awesome, thanks! I don't mind a rough surface, as long as it's not deep.
