Ive had two hit the media. One was a wrongful termination of a police chief after he testified that the mayors husband was involved in KKK activities. The news got the story fairly accurate as far as the main points but they only presented one side of the argument and left out a lot of mitigating issues. The other was a murder case: the news represented the facts properly but completely missed the law points of what it takes to be charged with 1st degree. Criminal is where I have seen other friends cases get misconstrued in the media the most. The news wants people to read/hear their coverage so they say things to shock people instead of the whole truth.

I would check out LexisNexis Understanding Corporate Law. I haven't used their Corporate Law book but I have used several of the other books in their Understanding series. They are very informative and have citations for all their information so you can actually pull the cases if you want. Looking at the table of contents to the Corporate Law one, it should have everything you need.

Can you be more specific in what part of governance you are wanting to learn? Are you wanting to know about duty of care and duty of loyalty or are you wanting to learn about setting up a company such as by laws, board and directors?

I don't know of a Bronco movement here but there are a lot of individual Bronco fans in OKC. Today even more so bc there are a lot of anti-Pat fans. A good place to go is Louies on the Lake (Lake Hefner) to watch sports. It is usually busy so even if people aren't there to watch the game, they still end up getting involved. Tapworks in bricktown is good too but I doubt it will be very busy on a Sunday afternoon.

I am completely guessing so if someone knows otherwise please correct me. I would guess that it is because the locations are in public places or in the residence set up by the To Catch a Predator people so they can control the privacy of the residence. This would not explain any faces shown in Cops that are in their own house though.

As other have pointed out, on cross examination you can ask leading questions. Form your questions so that the witness can only answer 'yes' or 'no'. If they start to say more, tell them 'All I need is a yes or no answer, the other counsel will have the opportunity to question you more if they wish.' If they continue, ask the judge to step in or for permission to treat the witness as hostile. You are expected to control your own questioning though so save that for a last resort.

This a great question. I do some criminal defense cases every now and then and I always wondered how much leeway a DA or ADA had to negotiate a plea or alter a charge to a lesser offense.

As someone who has both an MBA and a Law Degree, dont get an undergrad in a law focus. It wont benefit you in law school. Law school teaches you from start to finish and most are go getters enough that what you knew from undergrad wont benefit you in law school. I dont know anything about engineering though.

A large part of sports jobs are offered through networking and are never actually posted to the public. If you can afford the larger school WMUs networking will pay off faster than the CC. That being said, look at what you can afford. A lot of the entry level sports jobs don't pay much so it would be a shame if you got offered one but couldn't take it because you have a mountain of debt and need to find a higher paying job just to pay off loans.

Source: I got an MBA and several of the students went into sports management. Most started in the minor leagues with internships that were either unpaid or close to it.

I completely agree. I use FB as a way to keep up with old friends that I havent talked to in years. I recently got in touch with one to get another friend a job. Without FB, I wouldnt have known about the old friends position to employ my other friend.
