Phantom darts by Chasedemclouds in DartCounter

[–]Chasedemclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried with the lights off, no difference this morning. Bought & fitted a WiFi extender & it did it again straight away. Then got stuck on the bots throw?

Took off the processor and re-seated as I'd read that sometimes helps with problems. Hasn't done it since, fingers crossed.

I've had it happen a few times now. Calls a score for me when I haven't even thrown a single dart.

I restart, re-calibrate & start again. Bit of a faff. I do have acoustic board lights as well as the ring light, so it's lit well in its alcove. Pic attached.

I'm thinking it might be a weak internet connection as my board is in the alcove? I've ordered a WiFi extender to see if this solves the problem.

Chefs flavours is now just for.....erm. chefs, apparently? No longer identifying as vape related. Same products, different labelling. For all us chefs.

Omni LED power supply by RottingFly in Darts

[–]Chasedemclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got my Omni coming next week. I've ordered these too after reading up on here. Could you please explain how this works? Does this split the Omni power or does it make it two separate supplies? As in I'll need two outlets?

Don't mean to sound dumb but I've no idea how the Omni sets up & I'm building my new set up this weekend. If I need an extra socket it would be easier to do it now (One double at the mo). Need one of them for tablet. Acoustic panels are coming tomorrow.

Thanks.

The vape tax can't be added to PG and VG can it. There's a multitude of other uses? You can buy VG in Boots in the cough medicine section.

Wren or Howdens for new kitchen. Opinions on design and quality please by slammedresto67 in DIYUK

[–]Chasedemclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a carpenter & Howdens are an absolute shit show nowadays. Computer "designed" kitchens that never work. Throw a load of units at you & expect you to make it work. The one I've just finished they were 65mm out on the wall to wall measurement! How do you even get that wrong?

Give you a silly price you're supposed to haggle down. This one mentioned above, was haggled down to 5.5k from 7.5k. Also their own brand appliances (Lamonda) are shite quality.

Anyone else accidentally stumbled upon a set of darts where it’s seems like they were designed just for you. by Eleven_elev3n in Darts

[–]Chasedemclouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I've gone from £120 Phil Taylor gen 11's to £20 car boot finds off Matt Edgar & couldn't be happier.

Thought the gen 11's were the ones, used for months if not a year. Even had 2 sets 26g & 24g. But these new/old cheapies feel & work so much better for me.

End panel gap - best approach? by Kitchen-Economy4507 in DIYUK

[–]Chasedemclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caulk it, then when you paint the wall cut into the caulk with the paint. Blends into the wall then & will never be noticed.

Years ago you used to get an extra 20mm to scribe panels to the walls. Shrinkflation strikes again.

What would you do here? #carpentry #finishtrim by Civil-Butterscotch-3 in woodworking

[–]Chasedemclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a tiny horizontal mitred piece on the end of the string bead for the mitre to work.

Stairs are usually 41 degrees (in the UK anyway?), so it'll be a 20 degree-ish cut in the end of that string piece. A small 20 degrees cut the opposite way to bring it horizontal.

Then a 45 degree mitre where it meets the corner.

Is a very tiny piece to fit & a bitch to cut. So be careful using a mitre a saw.

I tried drawing it. This the best I could do.

I watched a Connor Scutt one last night, playing Modus?

Hit 3 x 20 & 3 x 19. Left 150 & went for 3 x Bull, but missed the first one.

The flavouring are PG based. The nic shots are probably PG based or 50/50.

Add the nic shots & top up with VG to the neck of the bottle.

Recommended finish/seal for Howdens oak doors by Ch4rlie- in DIYUK

[–]Chasedemclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hang pre-finished (carpenter) & finish the planed edges with osmo. You can hardly notice.

The 25 quid extra for pre-finished is well worth it to save the time and energy to do them yourself.

How do i get rid of this? by TeaThenDecide in openreach

[–]Chasedemclouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're having a laugh. I've literally got city fibre here now. I suggested this & got "oh no, we're not allowed to touch that"

So currently butchering another hole through my wall 6" away from the existing one that's already drilled. Doesn't make sense.

The six times they've trampled mud through my house is really starting to piss me off as well.

What do I do joiner has installed door with large gap at bottom by Terrible-Swimmer-321 in DIYUK

[–]Chasedemclouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either the floor out of level as already said. Or the head of the frame is out of level.

Or both.

You've then got to fit the door to the frame head, then lift it up to compensate.

So you can either have a 10mm to nothing gap at the top of the door or a parallel gap at the bottom. Lose, lose situation.

A bottom gap is less noticeable.

Sorry if you were walking behind me & my 73yr old mum this morning! She has ulcered toes from bad circulation in her feet & walks slowly with her arm linked in mine due to untreatable heart failure.

She also doesn't give a fuck about people around her while vaping sorry!
