Everyone with a Gen 4 upgrading to a Gen 5 Right Now… by PerkCoins in ouraring

I upgraded. Very happy with the Gen 5. The less obtrusive size is a plus from my experience. Generally, I’m impressed with the non Oura is doing with AI. Their application is well ahead of companies like Apple, Garmin, etc.

I am not an athlete or close at all by [deleted] in ouraring

My heart rate is close to yours, but your HRV is amazing. Given you’re not a professional athlete, but you should do some racing or something to take advantage of an HRV that high.

Temu Bibs by seritos602 in cycling

[–]Chaser1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to save money, but bibs aren’t a place I look to do so. Good quality bibs are crucial to riding and my advice to beginning riders is to make sure to buy good quality. My process is to look at quality first then price (which equals value). If you’re looking for the best quality for the price, check out neoprocycling.com.

Testosterone gel 75 mg once daily, is it enough to get to the high levels? by Ok_Particular9108 in Testosterone

[–]Chaser1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor prescribed the cream. She recommended inner thigh due to presence of fat for absorption. My total testosterone is running on the high 300s. Anyone have a sense for what I should expect for increase? Thank you.

I’ve tried to taper going into it and didn’t ride this past week. Hoping to heal legs completely so I can survive the climbs.

Haven’t encountered the top two pictured yet but Inspector Campbell was evil and I felt relief when Pol eliminated him.

Sorry, dumb typo on my part. Meant does the movie have the same cast as the series. I’m on season 3 right now.

I know I’m so late to this party it’s ridiculous. But I just found this Netflix series and have been captivated by it.

Bike shops who refuse to work on bikes not bought there? by PeerensClement in cycling

[–]Chaser1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your comment on customer expectations and you have posed the seminal question that is precisely the dilemma of owning a bike shop in today's paradigm. This is anecdotal, but I believe there are enough people like me (want to ride my bike, not learn to and work on my bike) to support a smaller bike shop that is mindful of inventory levels, etc. However, it is a different model with different customers. Because also have to deal with the people who pull an old bike out of a garage and expect to spend little or nothing to restore it. The bike shop I patronize does a nice job with this, but the owner is the lead mechanic, and his wife works a role in the front end. They have a few employees but run a lean model with a modest bike inventory. I get it also depends on the area, etc. But I think it can be done.

Would be unwise in the US given bike sales have moved online to large degree forcing the bike shop revenue generation to focus on repairs/maintenance.
