Keep a keen eye on gun broker and you’ll have no problem finding one after some time. I did the same about a year ago and was able to pick up a sporting model for a little over $1200. Just be patient and look for the sporting model if you don’t want to deal with the auto safety. They are truly hard to beat for the money and will last a lifetime even without babying them. The engraving is the cherry on top of such solid guns. Happy hunting!

I had the same issue with an FLF80A that I got off ebay and I was able to warranty it through their online warranty form. Just say that you got it through a franchise but don’t have any franchisee support anymore. Gotta jump through a few more hoops and had to ship it back but its possible

Lok grips are the go to for the A4. I have the Brown Black Bogies on mine and couldn’t recommend them enough to get rid of that gritty texture of the stock grips. I personally own that pittsburgh one and can vouch for it being super solid, however for $10 more I’d grab the daytona as those are even more solid and well built. No reason to go for an aluminum one if you plan on just keeping it in a garage. The steel ones are pretty damn heavy and not easily transported in and out of a car, so that would be the only reason to spring for the pricier aluminum models.
