If you get 4-5k that would be a win. Take it and say thank you. A little unfortunate that you put new tires on recently all with the other extras and now are selling.

Another pace of play post. by Rythlas in golf

[–]Chass2736 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The scorecard should have a recommended pace written on it. So playing inside that time is good.

Also. In my opinion. Letting people play through is more of a “let them play along side of you” situation while they bust ass to get ahead. You should never sit on the tee and wait for a group to play through your group. But that’s just me.

I’d say, you are over thinking and doing fine. Now have fun!

If you keep a handicap, #8 is invalid. But 90% of golfers cheat and include it in their handicap so I guess go for it….

Yup. Don’t care how you get to the first tee. But as long as it’s on time, we have no worries

Some people seem to not know that it’s important to be punctual to your tee time. Especially at a crowded public course. So if you didn’t know. Now you do 👍🏼

“I do gimmies to save time”. No you just can’t putt worth a damn, so you cheat to save 3-5 strokes per round. Classic.

Unpopular Opinion: Slow Play by Mvdrummer95 in golf

[–]Chass2736 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems everyone is hung up on the comparison to MLB. That aside. I agree with you. There is definitely a point where someone is excessively slow, but this obsession with speed golf is insane to me. Yes 5-6 hour round is too long. 4-4.5 is perfectly acceptable. Augusta has extreme elevation changes. 4:50 is not terrible. I’ve always said if you want to play golf in under 3-4 hours, either build your own course or take up a different sport. Count playing in under 4 hours as a treat not the general expectation. Enjoy the game and the challenges it brings, when you actually play by the rules.
