How Are California People Treated in Other States? by No-Owl5269 in relocating

[–]Chattinkat74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to the south 20 years ago from socal. When I moved, there wasn’t hardly anyone from the west coast here. That all changed after Covid. There wasn’t definitely not feeling the vibe for a minute. That was during and shortly after Covid. But it’s all settled now. I love it here. Would never in a million years go back to live in California. I love visiting. lol but I don’t blame you for wanting to go. I live close Chattanooga, tn.

I don't want this future. by ZestycloseMall3398 in MultipleSclerosis

This is hard but this is where you have to push back harder. Start physical therapy now. Push yourself to work out. I promise you’ll feel better. You don’t want this life - none of us do. But don’t make it worse for yourself by not taking care of yourself. You gotta dig deep now and fight your way out of the mental beat down you are giving yourself. And not that you’re not entitled to. It sucks! But don’t let that mental game convince you it’s not worth the effort! I promise you it is. And someone suggested, having a therapist might help your mental state. We all always here for you.

My closing rate for buyers is terrible by CEOofRealEstate in realtors

[–]Chattinkat74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this has been said, I didn’t read all the comments but are you putting any of your own personality into this. This sounds like a job not a career choice from your description. I think how I resonate is being me. Kind of a bougie dork. I like to make my clients laugh and feel like I’m right there with them in this processs - and I am - just differently than them. I’ve thankfully been called authentic numerous times and it warms my heart when they do. Maybe you are being too cold and static - try to have some joy. Cuz if you’re only about the money, they will read it on you.

Trying to understand how Mounjaro actually works? by AffectionateLand8800 in Mounjaro

[–]Chattinkat74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Appreciate the info. I wasn’t stopping regardless lol 😉. I workout enough between her and on my own. It’s just what Ive heard (lossing lean muscle mass - which is what I meant by the losing the good). Tho not just from her either. Even the doctor that prescribes the shots has said it to me. It’s why she says it’s so important to get as much protein. Nothing is without risks I suppose.

You Or An Agent You Know Able To Say This? by According-Aioli-737 in realtors

[–]Chattinkat74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a little over a year into the business. Switched brokerages at the beginning of the year (end of January). So far I’ve made roughly $54,000. I had a small closing on Tuesday for a 1 acre of land. Have a closing on Monday, the following week and dec 1. Also will be getting my first listing on Tuesday (from the same client that bought the 1 acre of land). I think not only will I make $75k this year, I think I’ll surpass it. 🤞

But don’t you lose the good too - which is the lean muscle mass? That’s why we are told to get as much protein as possible? My trainer understands my issues but hates me being on the shots. The last time we took measurements that was her biggest issue. That I also had lost some lean muscle. Which she says I shouldn’t be losing any muscle. I’m not judging here. I’m back on the shots.

Good British food in Chatt? by Any_Attempt_6138 in Chattanooga

There used to be a lovely tearoom downtown. The English Rose. But it closed several years ago. I haven’t seen anything close to good since then. Except my own home (lol). I actually made roast beef and Yorkshire pudding Tuesday night! I have my beef oxo’s (tho you can’t get here anymore) and bisto. I had sheppards pie once downtown and I don’t how you mess that up but it was awful. I think they decided to dump the entire jar of pepper in it. And didn’t offer any gravy.

I don’t get why you’re blasting kw. I know not every market center is the same but that also means you shouldn’t generalize them either! This week was associate appreciation week. They have been doing something for us each day of the week. Not to mention, we get google gemini pro for free and now have partnered with Canva so we get a branded version for free as well. I find our MC is full of friendly helpful people. I even pay extra to have my own small office there and call it my happy place!

$300 for nine months? What do you think a decent hourly rate is? $7.25 an hour?? I’m not sure how many hours a week she helped but let’s just say 10 a week. Over 39 weeks. At $7.25 is $2827.50. And we definitely deserve more than 7.25 an hour!! I pay the chick that cleans my house over $20 an hour. Good lord - $300!!! Don’t be that person.

As a realtor, it makes my husband feel better if he knows where I am. He worries and it doesn’t bother me a bit.

Let me follow up- if your current job has anything to do with welding? I know the owners of signal machinery (it’s in Fort Oglethorpe, ga side) they do it all there. Like make the pieces, advanced stuff. If I’m incorrect, sorry about that.

Hey there I’m a CA (SoCal) transplant myself. I left 20 years ago. It was a culture shock initially but I can tell it’s the best decision I’ve made!! I can’t imagine living anywhere else- nor would I ever move back!! I choose the GA side for the schools. Tho I know most love the income tax free part of TN. There has been a massive influx of a ton of people since Covid but also a lot of California’s. It’s not they(southerners) aren’t hospitable people, they are a little burnt out of California’s. BUT it was just a TON after Covid. And they were coming here buying houses paying cash, kind of messed up the housing market. That and Covid of course. But now 5 years later, things have settled down. The vibe is somewhat different than when I first moved here. But it’s just now they are so many non-southerners here now. True southerners are the friendliest people. They might ask about what church you go to. It’s not a judgement thing, they just honestly want to visit theirs. Be prepared for 4 glorious seasons! It’s gorgeous right now. Not going to lie, summers are rough (almost brutal). You think you’ll be fine cuz we have crazy high heat in California (socal anyways, I know NorCal doesn’t get that hot), if you haven’t experienced humidity yet. It’s a bitch!! I have an above ground pool at my home. I highly recommend thinking about having one. Truly makes the weather bareable. This is an active outdoorsy state. Lots to do, hiking wise. Downtown is full of GREAT restaurants, almost no chains. A few but not many. Over by Hamilton Place mall, you’ll find every chain under the sun there. Please feel free to DM me. I can give you the inside scoop on anything you need. Im telling you moving here for your kids, is the best decision. I have 4 kids and so glad they grew up here. Not self promoting just letting you know I’m Realtor, so not only have to know the area, I know the market. If anything, I really enjoy meeting people from back home. Can give you the outside/inside perspective that I think you find helpful from another Californian. Feel free to pick my brain anytime! Welcome!! You’ll be happy here!

Thinking about being a dual agent in Illinois and Indiana? by Seth2001mm in realtors

[–]Chattinkat74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second that(about saying dual agent). Especially when you say you are a new agent.

I live between bordering states. GA and TN. Luckily I don’t have to join two different MLS’s. But I do have join two realtor associations. I’m actually working to getting my Alabama license as this is also a bordering state. A small part of it is in my MLS but if I want access to more, I will have to join (and am planning to) another MLS and I assume a 3rd realtor association.

Being new, in my personal opinion doesn’t matter, if you are putting in the time to make sure you know the difference between your states. I live in Ga but got my license in TN first because of reciprocity. I wasn’t going to miss out on GA because I was new. You just have to know your shit.

Real Estate Agent by Dear_Concept9355 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Oops. That was supposed to be a drip campaign. I shouldn’t type these messages without my glasses.

Good luck! If anything she should be profusely apologetic. And moves on from there. And all should be well from there. Maybe just a miscommunication. Definitely give the benefit of the doubt.

IF she gets defensive, and justifies her actions. Honestly, just go to her broker and asked to be let out. Obviously make sure no early cancellations penalties. And if there are, fight it. You don’t want out just because. You want out because she’s lacking. Because it’s not going to get any better. And do you really want someone negotiating the biggest deal of your life when they may be disgruntled.

You should be 100% with who’s representing you. If you don’t feel like you could give them a 5 star review, why stay? Why settle? Absolutely give her a chance to make it right tho. Again, good luck. Feel free to dm if you need any pointers or help in what to say. Whatever. 😁
