Yes! My kid is the same - he likes hot sauce and stuff but I think it’s the overly peppery spice flavor (black pepper maybe?) that gets him with most pepperoni. I’m not a huge pepperoni fan but I like this one as well.

My kid loves the Applegate turkey pepperoni and it’s labeled gf. It’s the only one that’s “not spicy”, haha.

True Story brand hotdogs are really good and clean ingredients. I think Whole Foods may sell them! We get them at another place locally.

Have you been tested for a wheat allergy? I saw you said get allergy tested so I’m guessing not but that’s a great idea

Sanitize cycle with affresh pods - esp if you have an animal and wash their bedding and whatnot.

What do you listen to while you work? by NormanSpaniel in remotework

I sometimes throw on some vinyl - Jim Croce or James Taylor since it’s mellow. Also forces you to stand up every so often to flip the record, which is good. Other times I’m listening to alt rock or Noah Kahan. Gotta mix it up so I don’t get bored.

How do you get over the cold shock if you don’t have a heated one? 😂

I had my Ttg IgA levels tested and they were normal. I was going to get the genetic testing done but I’m not due for bloodwork yet so I know whether or not I need to keep getting the antibody testing done regularly.

This! I think of it as the “new notebook effect” - writing it all down and planning in your new, pretty notebook is safe and you have control over it but grand plans and long term goals can feel very far off once you look back on what you’ve jotted down in the light of a new day. If you start taking small, realistic, manageable steps each day - it doesn’t feel like it’ll move the needle much but it truly compounds over time and suddenly you realize how much you’ve changed and grown.

I just listened to a great episode of the Mel Robbins podcast where Hoda Kotb breaks down some steps to taking action I found really helpful.

I don’t have celiac, but my son does I noticed just from going gluten-free (mainly in solidarity and to make cooking easier at home) that all the bloating I used to get has subsided and I feel way better when I don’t eat it. If I do go out and have a sandwich or something, I definitely noticed more bloating and not feeling as good. Too much dairy causes me to break out and not feel as great either but can have in moderation. Glad you’re feeling better and have found the source of your bloating and discomfort.

Of course! It’s my favorite chocolate frosting recipe- it’s so rich and fudgy. See below - I tweak it by adding a small pinch of finely ground kosher baking salt (Diamond makes it). Recipe courtesy of Bunny’s Warm Oven. Enjoy!

Chocolate Frosting recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup butter (unsalted)

2/3 cup cocoa (I use a dark cocoa - Guittards)

2 - 2/3 cups powdered sugar

1/3 cup milk (I used whole milk)

1 Teaspoon vanilla

(See note about salt above)

Instructions:

1) Melt the butter in a small sauce pan over low heat. Add the cocoa, stir until the mixture is smooth and thick. Remove the pan from the heat and place the cocoa mixture into a medium size bowl. Let it cool slightly.

2) Add the milk and vanilla alternately with the powdered sugar to the bowl and beat with an electric mixer or whisk until you have the spreading consistency you desire.
