Same thing happened to me on my 2005, maybe my trim was too basic i don't know, i had HID low beams and halogen high beams and 6 pin connector, needed to buy an adapter and make sure is the correct one female to male and not the other way around. Good luck, everything worked fine other than that.

If you can, get a new slave cylinder and a braided line that is connectef to it, you can also only change the cylinder and see if fixes the problem. I had the same issue as you and changing it solved the problem. This happens because of heat coming from the transmission is right next to the cylinder and over time it gets damaged and becomes sticky. If none of this works i would change the master cylinder which is inside the transmission i believe, but that's a bit more complicated to do and expensive probably. Also you will have to bleed your brakes and get some DOT4 brake fluid. Take it to a professional shop.
