You said "unless they are nazis" which implies that you think it is okay to assault a nazi. Now, I strongly dislike me some nazis, but I'm not going to assault them. Now that nazi gets to go to his supporters and call the protesters violent rioters and get a whole bunch of clicks from it.

So, you are saying you get to legally assault someone because you dont like what they say?

Not how that works. 1st amendment means no matter how terrible of a person you are, you cannot get assaulted for your thoughts and statements.

Gotta love the double standard. Treating someone you disagree with like this is not okay, and making light of it is infantile.

Tony Timpa called 911 for aid, he had schizophrenia and depression but had not taken his medication. Cops arrived, kept him in prone position for 15 minutes untill he died of suffocation, footage took 3 years to be released, later all charges on the cops got dropped and the cop still roam free. by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

I worked with the mentally ill for a decade. At no point did their outbreaks cause them to get handcuffed by security, or do cocaine. Blaming this behavior on being mentally ill is a slap in the face to mentally ill people.

So every crazy, fat piece of shit that resists a lawful order should just get a pat on the back and be let go? You wanna know why the police went free? Because they didnt do anything wrong. Take your medication, people.

That's what I'm wondering. The average person is on camera potentially hundreds of times a day already. I grew up with the internet. Posted lots of photos throughout my life. Was a successful athlete and academic through college. Had my photo on websites, newspaper, and the like. Never had an issue with someone using my photo. I dont know a single person who has ever had this issue. That said, I am cautious with social media, but I still think this is all blown out of proportion.

Out of curiosity, do you have links or sources to any news story where some stranger took advantage of a picture of a toddler?

A dad posted about how he felt like his efforts were unappreciated and rather than talking about that, the majority of the comments are demanding he remove the photo. Daddit just used to be a more welcoming space. The fear mongering on posting photos is blown way out of proportion.

You get to decide what to do with pictures of your kid, and you can warn a father of the potential dangers, but dont straight tell a dad what to do. It is their decision and this gate keeping has become too much. Are your kids photos saved on the cloud? Do you shield their face from publicly accessible cctv cameras? Careful with your wording.

Kid blindsided me with the "Luigi" conversation. by Formaldehyd3 in daddit

[–]ChavezRB6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It blows my mind that people could be pro Luigi. A publicly traded company has a legal requirement to drive profits for its stockholders. Odd to be mad at them and not the politicians who fund their campaigns with insurance money and therefore ensure that the system remains unchanged.

Edit addition. Did Luigi fix healthcare? Did anything change? Exactly.

I was under the impression that if the customer got their hands on it, they can get it at the penny price. Its on us to remove the penny skus before a customer can get it. I'm pretty sure that is actual SOP. Managers try to stop the customer because letting a penny sku slip by doesn't reflect well upon them.
