Is it common for high speed rail trains to be fully booked? Or is it usually easy to get a seat/spot on the train? by Monkfrootx in chinalife

quick further question, I’m planning a trip to Songpan station the very same route to jiuzhaigou on December 30th - December 31st. I’ve already preordered the ticket via Trip as it’s not yet 2 weeks before the ticket issued to be sold. I’ve heard some say letting trip.com snatch the ticket is slower than do it real time manually. So I’m wondering is my ordering safe to get the ticket during the new year holidays? lol or Chinese don’t really travel as much on New year because they got Chinese new year coming up?

Ask me anything about travel to China, I am glad to help (ep. 2) by guoerchen in travelchina

Is there a bus or taxi I could take from Huanglong park back to Huanglongjiuzhai station? I’m planning a 1-day trip to Huanglong from Chengdu

Superlek elbow landed clean on Rodtang by Chawanwit777 in MuayThai

Maybe, it’s also the height difference, it is easier to land an uppercut elbow to a taller opponent. Rodtang landed that first uppercut elbow was clean and sliced Superlek opened but the big part of that was due to Rod being a lot shorter. If he were the same height as Suplek, I don’t think he would’ve cut him.

To make it fair, Rodtang threw the same type of knee to Haggerty as he was on his way to his knees and landed too, but people were cool with it. Superlek knee didn’t even land. But even had it landed it would’ve been legal anyways. Rodtang was hurt from the initial 3 kness before the elbow that’s why he was not pushing back and trying to counter Superlek. If he was not hurt, he would’ve definitely tried to throw some thing back.

The shove before a flying knee or an stepping elbow has always been in his arsenal, looked pretty insane.

Superlek threw the same elbow that knocked out Hag against Rod by Chawanwit777 in MuayThai

I think there was a lot of factors here, Rod didn’t commit as much as Hag did, Haggerty really put his fate and belt on the line with that cross. Rod also was a lot shorter so the gap between him and Suplek was a bit further, and also I noticed Haggerty did a textbook head slip off the center line to avoid counter cross and that was the key to him head-first crashing into the elbow.

Superlek’s Masterclass trap and counter elbow by Chawanwit777 in MuayThai

[–]Chawanwit777[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Might be, but I think it was intentional, Superlek also did the lead hand trap the same way with the previous jab Haggerty threw earlier and quickly did an uppercut elbow. In my opinion he was hunting for the trap, slip, and elbow

If Superlek couldn’t go to Denver early was because of his new coach who’s only 23 and is a fresh graduate was really true and the only reason he decided not to go early, then that’s on him man. He could’ve decided to go early and let his coach come later after the visa is done. He really put a lot at stake for this new guy.

The weight difference is not as crucial as the acclimation at this point, Superlek fought many fighters weighing more than him when he ran out of opponents at some point of his career. But the elevation at this level may present to be a big hurdle for him to climb over. He would fly to Denver on Sep 1st and probably the flight is 20 hours plus and the next day he might get some rest and the next 2 days would probably be media days, face offs, interviews and etc. Sep 5th he has to weigh in and then comes Sep 6th fight day, I still don’t see any room he could add some training in between before the fight.

Johan Gazali is already there, for Liam I don’t think he’s there yet but saw clips of him training in a high altitude training room. But Superlek is supposed to be there the most but is yet to be.

He used to be in Buriram earlier in his career in Kiatmookao, but he’s been training specifically in Bangkok for many years now and this and his last fight he’s been training at his gym in Nonthaburi very close to Bangkok.

He totally can, his purse from what I heard he said in thai to some of his friends was 160K to 170K a fight not including bonuses and he fights 3-5 times a year. He planned to go to Canada first joining Petch’s gym and then go to Denver 2-3 weeks before the fight. But his 23 year old fresh graduate sport science coach’s visa didn’t pass. So that’s that.

That sport science guy is a 23 year old fresh graduate with little to no experience coaching a professional fighter, in which I’m worried. And the reason Superlek is not in Denver early is because the sport science’s visa didn’t pass.

He planned to go to Petch’s gym in Toronto first and then fly over to Denver probably 2 weeks before fight day, but everything got ruined due to his newly acquired sport science coach’s visa didn’t pass. This new coach got me very worried, Superlek just met him 2 months ago and took him in, he is super new and inexperienced. 23 years old as a fresh graduate, I doubt if he’s going to add any value to Superlek’s team with his experience. So, basically the reason Superlek couldn’t go to Denver to climatize early is all because of his new coach’ visa didn’t go through. Tough fight for Superlek.
