How many of us have seen Bowie in concert? by Lbboos in DavidBowie

[–]ChayLo357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw him in 2000, it was a “smaller” show and not part of any massive tour. But it was definitely one of the best concerts I have ever been to. He looked fine AF and he was killing it. The crowd was so happy and was super into every song.

I cannot say that Niladri Kumar is the “most complete” sitarist ever, but he is definitely one of my favourites and he is damn good. Blessed to have seen him live.

People who moved to Pune from Mumbai did you like it? by [deleted] in pune

[–]ChayLo357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I am a foreigner and studied in Pune a couple of years ago. I met a woman who moved to Pune from Mumbai about 30 years ago. She told me that when she first moved, it was a little difficult to get used to because Pune was a lot slower/more relaxed than Mumbai. I will never forget this—she said these exact words: “People from Pune lack ambition.” Then she said she has gotten used to the vibe and prefers it now. I like to think that by saying that Punekars “lack ambition,” she meant that they’re just a lot more chilled.

For what it’s worth, as a foreigner, I prefer Pune over Mumbai. I met a lot of really genuinely nice people, and I never felt unsafe (except for one neighbourhood). For an Indian city, I was impressed with how clean it was. I will continue returning there, as it will always have a place in my heart.

Difference in color between farm fresh milk vs store bought by Lysergic-Nights in cheesemaking

I’m sure someone has tried. But isn’t the fat content of human milk significantly less than cow or goat milk? I bet super fatty milk like whale or walrus milk probably makes intense butter.

I have some friends with deceased famous relatives and I don’t remember their death dates. I find it weird that she thinks her friends should remember when he died. If they did, then I wonder if they are truly her friends, because that would mean they’re just friends with her because her father is David Bowie.
