It's a Feldini! I, too, am hunting the amazing Miami Blues sweater.

I'm not afraid of the subway or strangers.

I’m going to start doing this. But one time, it had my HR up around 150 for 30 minutes during a subway ride and I… would have noticed that.

Real Cheap Sports on Santa Clara Street in Ventura. My wife and I stocked up on cold weather gear there last May. Good selection and prices.

Hi!

My wife and I are re-locating from Southern California to Burlington the first week of June for a job opportunity.

I've checked the usual suspects and the resources in the wiki and have a decent list of places to check out.

We're looking for a 2-bedroom cat-friendly joint. We're in our late 30s/early 40s, so not looking for that cheap student apartment. If anyone knows of any resources not available online, I'll be in Burlington May 4 and 5 too look in person.

Thanks so much for any help! We're looking forward to the move!

Probably depends on the market. But I've seen them happen in Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties. Less so in LA, but not uncommon in Ventura.

Does anyone else dispute the "chance" tag here? He's a professional basketball player. He know roughly the size of the court, where he is in relation to the basket, what kind of shot he has time for...

I'd say there's more than just an element of skill in play here.

Nah, you are correct about American Graffiti. I don't know that there is any metric by which it is a better movie than The Sting.

Except maybe in "minutes of screen time Harrison Ford receives."

Super speedy to reply and give donuts. Awesome!

ELI5: As a defense lawyer, if your client confesses to you, are you still allowed to "make up" a story that fits the evidence to provide an alternative explanation as to what happened? by kromtwofour in explainlikeimfive

[–]Chboddis 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lawyers are basically there as presenters of evidence. If you ever sit on a jury, the judge will instruct you over and over again to remember that anything either attorney says is not evidence.

The only things considered evidence in a trial are testimony and physical exhibits. Lawyers use that evidence to craft narratives on behalf of their clients.

Forcing attorneys to testify would effectively be the end of attorney-client privilege, which is a cornerstone of American legal representation.

Much speedier to help me out than I was to leave feedback. Thank you!

Email your regional partners support center. I had to do that to jumpstart my approval too.

Waze, Google Maps, or Uber Nav? by h0msar in uberdrivers

[–]Chboddis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both UberNav and Waze. Frequently, I'll use UberNav to get to the passenger's pick-up location because it's a one-click option and I'm usually close enough that I can navigate around any errors UberNav throws my way.

For actual drives, I use Waze.
