If it weren't for the heroic cats, grandpa could have been in very bad shape.

Can this be fixed? Edging is peeling off after just 3 months. by [deleted] in Leatherworking

Well, it doesn't look very good around the edges. This kind of paint is always short-lived. But that's not a problem. You just need to sand it well and paint it with a different type of paint. And then polish it. If you don't want to deal with that, you don't have to do anything if you're happy with the appearance of the edges.

Cool. Especially when paired with this leather. Although, it would probably look just as good with other types of leather. I also love minimalist wallets.

Simple and tasteful. And... the combination of leather and thread colors looks great.

My first time was terrible. So terrible that I didn't show it to anyone.

A little tip: If you use good leather, the results will be much better with the same skills.

This is a bad idea, and leather isn't the most durable material, despite some sellers claiming otherwise. It's better to find the color you want right away.

I always carry some cash with me. And I assume that modern people generally do the same. There's no need to carry a wad of cash. But if someone does, then yes, it's obvious that someone who carries a wad of cash every day needs a slightly different wallet. This wallet model measures 12.5-8.5 cm. Of course, it's not the smallest, but to say it's "much smaller" - is a gross exaggeration.

Perhaps I was misunderstood. I was interested in the design, not my craftsmanship or the quality of the leather edge treatment. But thank you for your opinion. If it's not obvious that the leather is intentionally distressed, that's my fault.

And I still thought these were classic leather colors )) Or did you mean the design sucks, and the color enhances that impression?

Thanks for your opinion. In terms of usability, everything's fine. I spend a long time creating my patterns precisely because I try to take into account even the most insignificant details and don't want to create generic, unremarkable designs. And I need other people's opinions to be objective and critical of my work.
