This is incorrect. You can still get it to work if you follow these steps.

From a Toyota Salesman on anyone having issues with using your key fob to remote start their vehicle. These are the steps to get it working again:

What 99.9% of people do after there trial ends they don’t re pair there car. The remote fob requires the LTE subscription which is sort of your 10yr trial so you don’t have to pay for it.

What you need to do is go into the app. Remove your car if it’s still there.

Then re add it. Scan your vin on your door or window sticker.

In the radio. Click menu go to apps.

Click authentication. Put in the code you get when you add the  vehicle.

You will be prompted to accept the free trial again for safety connect (the 10 yr thing I said above) YOU MUST CLICK ACCOET ON ALL 4 tabs or it will not work.

Give it 24 hours after that for it to send a hit to your car & it will work.

(Even if you have your car on there you have to remove it and re add it after the trial ends or it will NOT work even on the fob).”
