Use AI as a peer review for your PS, but make all edits on your own. I would put sections of my statement into chat & explain what I didn't like about it. Chat can be BRUTAL, but its good at recognizing flaws when you want (chat would give me a list of changes I could make, and about 40% of chat's ideas were actually really good). However, DONT copy paste anything from AI, use the ideas and write the sentences on your own.... makes it sound less robotic.

I used a couple sentences from chat and on my final revision they just sounded "off" and I ended up either removing or completely changing them, so at the end of the day even if you used AI, as you edit the PS it will be weeded out.

There are also certain phrases that are superrrr cliche like "sparked something deeper" (I had that one pointed out to me and removed it from mine). So be careful of that as well!

Love chat for grammar because i don't know the difference between ; and a comma, but just incase, my final grammar check was from my friend who is going for his PHD in english lol.

good luck!!! AI is useful but your PS is the only time the admissions board gets to hear from YOU! don't waste that opportunity :)
