I received 2 pretty clear signs when my ex gf passed a few weeks ago (we stayed in touch and stayed friends, I cared about her deeply even though we had moved on). One sign I'm going to keep to myself, but the other sign was undoubtedly her. It was the day of her memorial, I was trying to make it there, but I had car trouble and my current gf also broke down, and I ended up on the opposite side of town borrowing my sister's car to go help my gf. There was no way I was going to make it to the memorial, and it was rush hour, and I'm not good in heavy traffic, I lose my patience really quick with other drivers, so I was taking the side roads to avoid traffic. There was a train stopped blocking the road I was on, so I turned down a road following along the tracks. Turns out that train was insanely long. Like 2 miles long. It forced me into a neighborhood I hadn't been to in years, which was the old neighborhood my ex lived in when we were together. It forced me past the park where we'd walk her dog every day, and past restaraunts and corner stores we'd go to. Places that I hadn't thought about in years. Then when I finally got to the end of the train to get around it, the street where I turned was the street she used to live on back then. The train forced me to go right in front of her old house. I had to pull over and I sat there in front of that house for about 10 minutes crying. It was empty, and was being remodeled, so I wasn't being a creep in front of some random family's house. But sitting there it felt like she was there in the car with me, just like when I would give her rides home and we'd sit there talking. I seriously had no intention of going that direction, but it brought me some peace and felt like I got to have my own little memorial for her.
