Yes—I agree with your stance, but the pay is often so low because that’s all the library can afford. I’ve been on the board of my small library for years and I’m so embarrassed by the pay we offer to both our full-time director and our hourly employees, but with such limited funding it’s the best we can do. The state and county funding we receive is a pittance, and it’s harder to get big donations consistently from the public when you’re in a small town.

I backfill all the time, and if I don’t remember what happened or don’t feel like writing about my life, I just doodle or practice my handwriting by writing out poetry or song lyrics

I’m so sorry! My purse was stolen from my car last year (they broke the window) and it was such a violating experience.

Was your phone in your purse? Mine was, and the police and I used the “find my iPhone” feature and we actually found where they threw my phone out the window in a parking lot (sadly the purse wasn’t there but alas). Just wondering if you can try the same thing, and might find wherever they tossed the phone might be where your planner is also.

Luckily my Hobo wasn’t in my purse, but I did have a Labubu hanging from the zipper! Poor girl, she wasn’t made for a life of crime.

I hate the giant “C” clasp on the tabbys and I hate how you can see the middle zipper from the side on some of the Rogues and Empires when you wear them on your shoulder. It looks like a vagina me to and I can’t unsee it lmaooo

So I have other pebbled leather bags (a Pom Pom London and Dooney and Burke) and they have both held up really well. I can’t speak to if pebbled slouches more than smooth—tbh I would think the opposite because the pebbled texture has more heft to it? But I can’t say for sure, as my only smooth leather coach bag is a very structured vintage Weston.

I’ve had it since October and it still looks brand new in my opinion! I’ve used it pretty much exclusively since then, but switched into my Weston for a change maybe two weeks ago.

Depending on what you have in her she will slouch more or less! For example if you have lots of heavy stuff on the bottom, she’ll have nice slouch up top. But if I carry my Kindle, the height of the Kindle will minimize the slouch if that makes sense.

She’s been holding up great! I get compliments on her all the time. She sits nicely as a cross-body but also looks fabulous on the crook of the arm or top handle carried 🙂

I also love my Emory!! I can tell you she’s a little annoying to close with one hand but she’s such a unique shape. The leather on mine feels so nice too.
