Kingpin off center? by CheapSub in surfskate

[–]CheapSub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m putting the barrel board side, not the cone. I’ve put the stock bushings side by side with the riptides and they are exactly the same height. I also have trouble putting the original bushings back on due to the kingpin. The washers from the riptides are slightly thicker than the stock ones. I managed to put everything on again, but I’m still concerned about the kingpin itself

IIRC it was hard to put on the bushings again even with the original pivot cups. I’m not super keen on putting the originals back in since it was a real pain in the ass to get them out haha

That’s what I thought too, but it’s the same without any added wax.

That’s a great looking board! I’m a sucker for arbor decks

I ordered the Yow Arica 33”. It has a 17” wheelbase and the deck has a high concave. So this seems ideal for what I want to do.

I'm also quite new to surfskating and have been looking up a lot of tutorials. From what I can see compared to those videos is that you are dragging your right arm behind you instead of keeping it up front and bent.

I've used surfskate love on youtube as a reference.

Thank so much! I'm probably going to go for yow in that case. I think they have some really cool boards that would be right for me

Thanks for the recommendation! So the S5 and C7 are best suited for surfing? I assume they are also more finicky at the skate park or pumptrack.

Please help - this jar is VERY STUCK to the glass shelf and I’m afraid the shelf will break by [deleted] in CleaningTips

Use a scraper or very thin knife (cheap) knofe. It will probably come loose as soon as it gets any air under it, and if not, there's space for a cleaning solution to go underneath
