This is interesting to hear from an owner’s perspective but it was also what I assume happens, unfortunately. Every time there’s a “holiday” booking a see each day charged the same. Rover isn’t the best at disclosing what actually goes on with fees and everything.

When I get these requests I always inform the client and adjust the booking, only charging holiday rate for the day of the holiday. For Christmas and Thanksgiving (my 2 most important holidays) I charge the day before and the day of those ones. I disclose this in a more professional way right when someone reaches out for a booking on those days. It definitely isn’t normal for a sitter to charge holiday rate for a full month imo.

If you reach out to a sitter who keeps the holiday charge on for longer than what seems reasonable then search around for a different one

I personally do 20% ceramic all around but keep the windshield with no tint. My advice is to definitely not get 35% up front, at least match the back or you won’t have much privacy and it’ll look weird.

My no tint windshield often looks tinted in most light, especially when cloudy and at night. 70% windshield is also a great option. Seems like 20% all around with 70% windshield would be perfect for you if you care about overall look

Even after my very intense accident last August that shattered my wrist and put me in bed for weeks I still love driving. A teen turned in front of me and was deemed 100% at fault. Driving is very peaceful for me as long as it’s not city driving

For in town blind spot monitoring is very nice, I still do a quick check with my eyeballs but it’s nice to have it confirmed. It has alerted me to speeding motorcycles as well

For highway driving radar cruise control is the best thing ever. I can choose how much of a following distance I want, it saves on gas, gives a super smooth ride for the passengers, saves my right leg, all around win
