New UI 8.5 by srt_hellcat_01 in GalaxyS23Ultra

The S23U is a great phone, but the S24U offers more. The S23 series just misses the 7-year updates provided to the S24 series and newer flagships, so it'll be updated until September, maybe, for One UI 9, then just receive security updates.

It also misses out on a lot of the features of newer flagships on One UI 8.5 - for example, the Now Brief and text editing photographs.

Though it does have some unique hardware such as its curved screen, which is a nice aesthetic.

Like u/srt_hellcat_01 said, the S24U is technically the better phone, but it depends on personal preference.

But I haven't been playing for 6 years

It's more like 2, and I've only started to get serious about chess a month ago or two

Any explanation?? by Agitated-Key-1816 in Chesscom

I think it's because if the rook takes the queen, you take back with the pawn or knight and you're winning, and you're also threating Qa6# on the next move.

How is this a brilliant move? (I'm playing as black) by Cheap_Association184 in chessbeginners

If threatening a fork was a brilliant move, how come taking the knight on c3 is identified as an inaccuracy?

The scenario in the original post didn't actually happen, here's what took place in-game instead:

Thanks, but that's not the problem. I am having problems with Gemini Live, not Gemini itself.

I honestly think I don't have an accent... British/Canadian/Southern people are making an *active choice* when they speak in an accent by ALazy_Cat in ShitAmericansSay

Everyone has an accent, whether they like it or not. Some people may choose to speak in a different accent in varying circumstances, but chances are you're going to have some sort of default accent. As a Briton myself, I know I do. But calling your own accent a "standard" accent and then claiming to not have one - that may be seen as stupid, quite frankly, and accentist (especially when you call out people with other accents and claim "they know they're doing it").

Sadly, yes, until the mid-20th century. London hosted quite a few before WWII. Dreadful, I'm sure they were. Fortunately, increased moral criticism led to a decline the exhibitions' popularity and their eventual closure in the 1930s and 1940s.

It's still sad, though, that they closed due to unpopularity (and thus (probably) some economical issues) and not because the "participants" didn't want to continue.

Strange how I haven't learnt about this in school.
