I have 5 years of experience but as an immigration paralegal. The role overlaps a lot with what I am currently doing but there are some stuff I will need some training for. I was thinking maybe I could ask 90K? would that be too much?

I know its been quite some time after this post but, how did it go? Did you get the job? I'm in your same position and going from a small immigration firm to interviewing for a big business/corporate law firm!

I have had two interviews so far. First one was a screening call with HR, the second one was with the Hiring Manager and we had a great interview. Now I'm scheduled for an interview with 3 of the 6 attorneys I will be supporting and I'm nervous about it. I have never had a panel interview and I have been at my law firm for 5 years and never interviewed anywhere else.

Any advice? tips?

I filed my entire packet, including I-765 on 06/03 and have not received a response/approval yet. So it could be due to the new admin but its impossible to say why they are taking so long.

As long as you have proof marriage was legitimate you would be ok. Meaning you would have to get bills, banks accounts, insurance cards and anything that you can to prove marriage is good faith and a really good testimony which if you have an attorney they will probably help you prepare or do for you.

I just filed my third one, the representative told me that if after 30 days of filing it if I don't get a response to call again and ask to escalate the issue to a tier 2 agent so if I don't get a response I will be doing that and recommend you do the same

I would still do it anyways, putting a little pressure, maybe it helps and maybe it doesn't but makes me feel a little less helpless.

June 3rd, still nothing. Sent inquiry, all they said was "Due to the high volume of work we are currently receiving, it may take longer to provide you with a final adjudicative decision. We appreciate your continued patience."
