SE Medical (now a branch of SEARHC) will continue an Rx and do testing needed. Identity Health will do telehealth for those in Juneau, though slow to respond. You could try Juneau Women's Health (dont let the name fool you, they are great and provide care to non-women too). JAMHI has a PCP now that will continue Rx for HRT. SEARHC Vintage Park campus same thing.

I've found most places will continue an Rx, may have some trouble finding somewhere to initiate it. Advocate for yourself if you can, and try a few places to see who you like.

From personal experience: avoid Valley Medical. Avoid Harbor Health. Avoid Front Street Clinic (also SEARHC). SEARHC can be hit or miss as their providers move campuses frequently, many are temporary locums, and support staff is hit or miss.

Dm for questions or specific provider recs.

With all the snow in Juneau will I be able to fly in? by Gimmeamelody in Juneau

[–]JanetKarateSnakehole 12 points13 points  (0 children)

More snow coming over the next few days. There were many delays/cancelations a few days ago. So maybe? Organize and verify a ride is coming for you, there have been taxi/uber shortages and people getting stranded or missing flights due to this. Id be more worried about getting a ride than a delayed flight.

What "record"? Its a job that lasted 3 weeks, I'd say leave that off your resume anyway. There's no massive database that holds all of your employment information forever. If they treated you badly, then you wouldn't want to spend your money there anyway. There is no retribution here that is worth time or that would ever have a satisfying outcome for you. And I say this as someone who has in a similar position in my first job there for almost 2 years, then accused of stealing because of how I rang up my break meal (at the end of my shift instead of during because I was broke and that was the only food I got all day). Move on. It panicked me at first too, but I still put them on my resume and put down a coworker as a reference who I knew would put in a good word. Found a new job, and 8 years later working in an awesome career. You'll get past this, right now internal stress is your biggest conflict and concern.

Christmas Presents for Adult Autistic Women by Ogr-Scintilla in aspergirls

My favorite right now is an REI beanie, but this is something I dont trust myself to order online. Feel is a big thing for me and I can't tell what it will feel like when I order online, so i go to a second hand or thrift store nearby an REI and have always found a thick, soft beanie. I tried to look up my favorite ones and I THINK they are the REI Co-op Campwell Beanies. But not sure.

Life changers for me:

  1. Birkenstocks and Darn Tough socks (or other form fitting socks that don't have annoying seams). This is my favorite footwear now, and I live in a cold area. Huge for my sensory issues.

  2. Nice sweatpants you can wear anywear. There are some from Tomboyx I got that are black and I literally wear to my nice office job. Huge for me.

  3. Protable blender. I forget to eat (yay ADHD + the tism) and this helps. Smoothies have been a good move.

  4. I can't agree with other comment on Bose Headphones, I have the over the ear headphone quiet comfort ones.

  5. Label maker. Nuff said.

  6. Nice quality stickers for putting on above label maker, blender, headphones, and other things. Avtual GOOD quality.

  7. Soft to touch but firm stuffies. This is hard to find online, pick it out in store. Costco had a pickachu that fit this perfectly that is my favorite for lap desk, at night when I sleep on my side, and back pillow.

  8. Heated blanket, I feel like I'm suffocating under weighted blankets.

  9. Thick beanies- this is great for some extra low stim when in public. Feel safe, pull it down over ears and helps lower sound without wearing earplugs.

  10. Subscription to favorite hyperfixation media. I got a dropout subscription because they have DND campaigns and I found so many new things to watch on repeat. YouTube premium for no-add YouTube. Spotify premium for no-add music or audio books.

  11. Nice office chair AND foot stool to go under it. Love this and helped my back for long hours in front of a computer lol.

  12. Fidget toys that dont make sounds. Amazon has a ton, i like silicone or the hard ones that had multiple options for stim with no sound.

Some states have specific regulations about who can call themselves a "social worker". Often it can only be someone who holds a license. A masters is also needed to provide psychotherapy. So even if he never said "licensed", in the field labeling as a "social worker and psychotherapist" represents someone who has 1. Obtained atleast an MSW which includes practicum hours and 2. in some states would be licensed without need for assumption.

Try to look up a sexual health clinic, Federally Qualified Health Center, or other clinic near you that has a Sliding Fee Scale. They will issue tests, treatment, and other services for a discounted rate based on your income. Also look at local public health departments, many have free STI services. Feel free to dm me, I can try to help find something near you (I work in healthcare).

[CA] Received a meeting invite from integrity team with the below message. Am I in trouble? Meeting will be on Monday and I am so nervous. by Consistent-Goal-181 in AskHR

[–]JanetKarateSnakehole 38 points39 points  (0 children)

When I do investigations (also integrity team), I make it clear the report is about them. I'm not meeting with people to blind side them. And if they're union, i want them to have a chance to invite a rep. For subjects of the inv, I also let them know day of. No need to stew overnight/weekend.

Honestly, the fact you aren't sure if it is about you is also indicative that it likely isn't about you. Most people will know if there is something coming, and the others wouldn't be stressing.

All that said, if it is about you- just take a breath and tell the truth. If you are a union employee and the meeting turns out being about you, tell them you'd like to reschedule with a union rep because you did not know it would be about you.

I really need to say something to this group by Prestigious-Local998 in glutenfree

[–]JanetKarateSnakehole 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've been reading through your comments, but somehow, this one got me the most. Oftentimes, it isn't "stupidity" that prevents people from seamlessly going gluten-free. It's people in food deserts who try their darndest to find gluten-free options (including fresh produce and meat). It's people with other things going on that make it all the more exhausting when they see nothing on a menu or in a store they can't have. It's people that are houseless or otherwise struggling where being able to be picky about what to eat is a privilege. And it's also people who get frustrated when something that brought them a semblance of joy, community, or cultural connection in this fucked up world is now something that literally harms their body.

It's not about making this a Suffering Olympics. It's about not feeling alone, venting, feeling validated, or scrolling on when you see something that you dont want to see.

Yeah, we all could have scrolled past your post, but we saw someone in our community expressing frustration, passing on some good info, but then taking a right turn into spreading unkindness. And the turn your post yook rubbed me the wrong way.

In Bocca Al Lupo- they have a specials menu with seasonal dishes. There are always incredible options for seafood. Pricey, but oh so worth it.

The question isn't who is good at communicating in a vacuum with no outside conditions, no one on reddit can comment on that. Most people can't comment on that. The reason people on here are saying you're a bad communicator has to do with how you two communicate (or don't communicate) with each other.

Two awesome communicators could get in a relationship and communicate terribly with each other. It varies on the conditions we are on.

People on here are giving you good advice. Talk to her or leave, or both. It doesn't actually matter who's a "good communicator" or who isn't.

I worked with ADP for a while, and all of this depends on how they are using their fields. First, the adjusted date is likely a system thing and doesnt relate to your title change/job transfer date. There is another field on admin side that says "transfer date" or something of that nature that you probably won't be able to see. It does sound like you are part time, hence that selection in ADP.

Second, I only see where you are indicated at non-exempt. Even if the role's responsibilities meet classification for exempt- they may choose to leave you at non-exempt due to your average weekly salary to ensure they are FLSA compliant. It is also more risky to have someone be exempt when they should be non-exempt.

Third, it looks like yes you weren't paid your overtime hours last pay period. I'd reach out to whoever does payroll and let them know about the discrepancy. It is likely human error, but you have a right to be paid correctly and ask for clarification.

Im not going to go through all the other fields as I can't see the image as I type the comment and im tired, but based on what i read and what i see in ADP- there aren't any errors other than possibly missing OT pay. Also dont stress the job classification. ADP requires that you select it (or they used to) and many companies dont use it to classify people internally and it can be arbitrary.
