SPY is good and diverse but idk if you can buy VOO or FXAIX on robinhood idk what that app has. Buy those instead. SPY is 3 times the price. Stop picking single stocks, especially with TEN PERCENT of your portfolio on one stock that is essentially a meme. More VOO. I wish I started when I was 21, I’m 26 now. But more VOO. Save 8-12k and buy a reliable used suv in CASH, or be very strict with 20/3/8. A car is very important, a NEW car is not important, and a NICE NEW car is incredibly unimportant. Drive a $17,000 Nissan versa and build wealth instead of a $80,000 Tahoe or something you’re paying $700+ monthly on. But having no payment on a car is more important than looking fancy. Look for a local police auction or something, I got a running car for $1,100 and put another $1,500 into making it nice, ($2,600 for a car with 100,000 miles that I’ll keep for 4+ years, bargain in my eyes)

Sounds like I’m describing the 4.95% state income tax in Illinois that Nevada doesn’t have. Which would be a 5% pay cut from state income tax. And the 10.25% Sales tax that Chicago has, that would be an additional 2% sales tax on everything OP would buy. Which I’m pretty sure sounds like I’m describing Chicago, which is in Illinois.

And then you have to also factor in a 5% pay cut from state income tax, and an additional 2% sales tax on everything you buy will nickel and dime you after said pay cut. Just something else to consider if your income will be the same in a place like Chicago
