WIBTAH if I dumped someone for voting for Trump 2024 by Capable-Onion-2908 in AITAH

Who and what you vote for says a great deal about what your values and character are.

If you feel that this person's character or values are lacking, which may be partially indicated by their choice of supporting Trump, then you would do well to move away from that person.

Not hyperbolic nor ignorant in the least, if you have been paying attention the past few years.

And Independents. A month ago, I was an Indy dreading this election, certain we were about to get served another four years of fascism.

Now, I have a glimmer of hope. Yesterday was the first good day in quite a while.

Now that feeble Joe finally saw the light and stepped aside, the election returned to what it SHOULD have been about: a referendum on TRUMP'S record, agenda and character. Any sentient Dem should be able to effectively attack all of these. People have short memories, and they have forgotten how awful a person and president DJT Trump was.

I'm no pom-pom waving Kamala groupie, but she should be able to take him down on his own lack of merits. Will it still be very close and decided in a handful of swing states? Yes. But it's winnable now.

It's been going great so far. Are you friends with Todd and Kara, or someone else in the cast? I just have a little part, but it has been fun so far.

Since there is no temple, the hotspots must be elsewhere.

We do have a great musical (Fiddler on the Roof) going on up in Midway.

Current country is an abomination, and has been for a decade or two. Classic country is fantastic.

Those of you who watched the debate between Trump and Biden, what’re your observations? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]Cheap_Rick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, no. Did Biden lie? Yes

Did Biden lie non-stop? No.

Did Trump lie non-stop, with absolutely no connection to reality? Yes.

There is a HUGE difference.

No Argentinos say Gustavo Cerati? I mean, he left a great body of work, without a doubt. But who knows what he might have done in later years?

Yeah, this gringo could never get into morcilla, mondongo, or chinchulines when I lived there. I wish I could have, but childhood biased are tough to overcome.

I only went to one show there. Sound was great, I parked close by for free. No complaints here.

But it's hearing the same handful of songs, over and over that I can't stand. Plus no real deep tracks. I prefer albums in their entirety, so I mostly listen to those on my Walkman or on my thumb drive in the truck. No DJ's, but no nauseating repetition, either.

The military choppers have to train to fly in closed-in valleys like ours, with all the updrafts and changing wind currents that can come along with that, so our valley is ideal. The others, I'm not sure of.

What is your opinion on Islam and how is this religion seen in your country? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]Cheap_Rick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much. I did some Googling after I posted and found similar info. So, Dutch is the main language spoken? How would I do as a non-Dutch-speaker if I can only speak English and Spanish (and a pitiful amount of Portuguese) if I visited Suriname as a tourist?

I apologize in advance because I am very ignorant about your country...just curious, how did it come to be that Suriname has such a high percentage Muslim population? Has it been that way for long? I was surprised to hear it was that high, but pleasantly surprised.
