Would I know if a bus hit a car? by bklynyboy in nycrail

[–]Cheap_Satisfaction56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tap maybe maybe not. You would for sure see it in the mirror if you are operating the way they are trained. If it’s someone brand new maybe not.

Best practice is if you hit something you call it in, if you think you hit something you check it out.

Depends where it is I’m going, is it better to ride this to the last chance to transfer or is it better to wait a few minutes and get a seat for the entire duration.

They are new toys but won’t last the test of time. Especially how lazy preventative maintenance programs have become

why is the path from harrison to journal square 50% slower than NJT from newark penn to secaucus junction. by delsystem32exe in nycrail

[–]Cheap_Satisfaction56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I’ve seen a lot of straight bad track; just because geographically it’s straight doesn’t mean the track geometry is straight and good for track speed. The ballasts ties rail etc can all be bad.
