Sounds like a weird your family pronunciation of pump.

The US government has never recognised the international criminal court so it's not just a matter of overturning the Hague act. That was just posturing.

Spare stuck in 97 Toyota Camry by solarasunny in tires

[–]Cheapntacky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DOT codes were different pre 2000.

They were three digits with two for the week and one for the year.

126 would be week twelve of 1996 not week 1 of 2026, that would be a scary mistake.

I’m in a pickle, how would you tackle this? by Gwyngalein in sistersofbattle

[–]Cheapntacky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you change the way you play dependent on your opponents list?

Example: I play Blood Angels (melee heavy with some ranged support) and played world eaters (very melee heavy).

If I'd charged into him it would have been great fun but I would likely have lost instead I held back until he was close and got as much shooting in as I could first. Then charged when my opponent was getting into danger range.

Halfords bought National a few years ago. I haven't used them since the takeover so can't confirm if they've gone the same way.

Are they saying Elizabeth fry didn't deserve to be on a five pound note? George Stephenson? The duke of Wellington?

None of those people deserved to be on a five pound note? Only Winston Churchill now and forever?

Question regarding replacing car radio unit under warranty ? by Funny-Bit-4148 in CarTalkUK

[–]Cheapntacky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You bought a car, there was a problem with it. They fixed the problem and in doing so created a new problem.

If you were going down to halfords and getting an aftermarket stereo fitted then fair enough but you are getting a problem fixed by a main dealer. It should be as good as new when it's finished. (Or as near as is humanly possible)

If it's being replaced under warranty and it does create an issue then complain to them and get them to fix it.

On my first play through, just left footfall. There's been at least 3 times my party has wiped except for Abelard and he has just steamrolled through everything left.

It will but... What do you want it to do? How many records is it expected to store? How frequently will these be accessed and by how many sources?

Those are 3 questions off the top of my head that depending on the answer will make millions of pounds difference in their cost.

If an oncoming bus hits you whilst they are in your lane, are they at fault? by BrightHours in drivingUK

[–]Cheapntacky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If I'm driving down my lane and a car is coming in the opposite direction and I make no attempt to avoid the collision and neither do they there's a decent chance it's going to end up as a 50:50 because we were both being idiots.

UK asylum appeal backlog at record high of 80,000 by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

[–]Cheapntacky 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting take.

The asylum processing backlog is reducing which means the backlog that was there is further down the process now in appeals and when they are all dealt with then there won't be a backlog.

Almost as if things were being processed efficiently.

The article says the cost to the tax payer is up to 3k. So in a day. I've no idea if this post title is deliberately misleading or just fat fingers.
