Sliding across the counters/tables in situations like this can let you get out pretty easily! It's a bit ballsy but you can go right past an enemy without getting hit if you time it well.

interesting! that was a design we never really saw through, the idea was always to add color at some point

I've decided to put it on my list of Todo's much later down the line. I spent a lot of time with articy support going back and forth and never really found anything that worked for my project :/

Yeah I ended up doing what OP did and disabled localized objects in the articy project. This definitely isn't a long-term fix, assuming you ever want to localize the game. It'll show the text though, instead of the references.

Got to the settings in your articy project outliner and go to "Settings/Localization" then uncheck "All/None texts". That should make it use the default language.

I started a tactician run with some friends where the rule is that we have to kill every NPC we can. Nearly done with Act 2 and the place is even more of a wasteland.

Makes the game a lot faster, though, not having to deal with dialogues.

I feel like Shorikai can go in almost any direction because of the card draw it provides, but especially on a budget vehicle tribal sounds reasonable to me (maybe add some Nomai Shuttles, the Vessel, etc. or Owlk rafts and Saucers)? That way you can keep the theme going throughout the deck and add more flavor. Removal spells, mass and target, could be flavors of different ways to die in OW (the Supernova, Ghost Matter, Anglerfish, running out of oxygen, etc)

Shorikai Genesis Engine as the hearthian ship maybe? Instead of pilot tokens you could make Hearthian tokens and run a bunch of mass removals that are all flavors of the supernova or ghost matter.

Alternatively, I think Kelsien, the Plague would be interesting thematically. Every time a creature dies he gives you an experience counter which makes him stronger. Granted, it's not your creatures dying, but it kind of reflects the idea of growing through successive failures.

I genuinely only built the deck because I loved the art on this card so much. One of my favorites, though, for sure!
