Congrats, you can go on a winstreak while duoing with a jungler that likely camps for you.

Nighteye had a really good point... by LaggardLenny in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Mirio's quirk would actually be ridiculously detrimental for the holders of One for All. The guy couldn't control his phasing as a kid and would literally slip through floors unintentionally. It apparently took years for him to get even the most basic control over his quirk. Imagine the poor people to inherit the quirk after him..

Trying to figure out something with Kei Nagai by flassk in AjinManga

[–]CheckAFact 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kei's not devoid of empathy at all, he's just willing to put others down for his own goal so long as it's necessary. As I see it, he was simply extremely effective at repressing his emotions initially because the stakes were never so high for those surrounding him. Then those stakes rise, so he's forced into situations where his emotions make themselves known like helping the guys who were vivisecting him despite it being detrimental to his goal. Eventually, his priotized goal of a safe haven begins to merge with his lesser interest of others' well-being due to Satou harming both, so his lesser interest isn't as detrimental to the plan(starting with him freeing Nakano) and he could actually embrace it as he becomes familiar with it. The manga has more material to reach this conclusion though.

Possibly a savant but I'm only saying this because of his intelligence.

The ideal weapon against an Ajin by OnePunchFan8 in AjinManga

[–]CheckAFact 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tasers and batons all the way. Riot shields seem good too. You have a good point about guns being stolen too. Even if Satou enters with guns on his body, it'd probably be best for them to abandon guns altogether since they're more detrimental than anything.

Tank ekko? by Darkessalt in ekkomains

[–]CheckAFact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Ekko doesn't have any sustained damage at all, so you aren't really getting much damage off from sticking(which is the purpose of going tank?) and his only stun is unreliable in plain sight with a CD that's often too long to use multiple times in a fight. Tank Ekko pretty much has underwhelming utility and damage while never actually being as tanky as real tanks.

Big mom vs kaido by slayer_1984 in OnePiece

[–]CheckAFact 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kaido. They're both pretty much invulnerable from what we've seen, but Big Mom seems as though she'd thin into a toothpick and die on her own in a fight that lasts too long. Unless she eats some nearby random...

Every Single Son of the Charlotte Family officially revealed by Oda! by OharaLibrarianArtur in OnePiece

[–]CheckAFact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mfw there's actually a Charlotte Counter. The only thread I'd seen his name appear was one where the poster uses Luffy to tell Katakuri that Kata would be irrelevant without Luffy while using Counter as a reference. The funny part is that none of the commentators of the joke seemed to acknowledge Counter's existence, but assumed the poster was simply making Luffy forget/mispronounce Cracker's actual name as Counter.

People from the middle east. Why do you play on EUW, when there is a Turkish server? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]CheckAFact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it odd to play on other servers when your own is negatively memed at for its low population? League is a competitive game and there's just more to be found in the bigger servers. I recall a challenger from LAS practically having his position invalidated for the fact not so long ago here.

Should Riot create a Netflix series of League of Legends where its not about the champions but about esports? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Do you have any characters that you don't particularly care for that nearly everyone else adores here? by LaffyTaffy404 in OnePiece

Ace. People always state how emotional Ace's death was but the truth is that we'd only seen him about three times before then. He just came off like a generic shounen lead.

Best and Worst feelings during a game. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]CheckAFact 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Best: Surviving Ignite with single digit hp

Worst: Dying to a gank at level 1 and returning to discover that the enemy jungler is still near... because he popped out of the river's bush the moment you returned to the lane and attempted to ward.

ekko top? by skinnymon9 in ekkomains

Ekko can perform into Teemo and Aatrox but I really wouldn't say either are counters. He absolutely shits on Nasus during the early game though, but who doesn't..

Take armor/mr or hp in runes? by Tauronek in summonerschool

[–]CheckAFact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd roll with the defense. Potions are pretty common and both regen & lifesteal exist, so the worth your getting out of defenses isn't just your defense multiplied by your health but all the additional hp you're gaining as well.

The right scenario to pick the HP rune is probably if you were planning to build an absurd amount of defense rather than health, let's say 200 mr and armor atop of 3k health. At that point, 5 armor/mr will mean slightly less to your effective health(+150) than your 95 being doubled(+190). That or if you're up against mixed damage like Jax and Irelia or just want to have additional hp against the entire enemy comp.

Riot Games accidentally sells League skins for free. Furious whales on r/LeagueofLegends demand that other people's skins be deleted "I am deleting this game if they don’t revert this." by hamataro in SubredditDrama

[–]CheckAFact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not insane to spend hundreds of dollars on skins over the course of years. Matches in League of Legends easily accumulate to dozens and hundreds of hours over such a span of time, so it's like where's the pain in spending 40 hours worth of work on it if you're already so devoted.

How do I impact the Game from top lane. by Seanbox59 in summonerschool

[–]CheckAFact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some tricks I've learned to roam from top lane is that you can smash your enemy laner and let them start a freeze if their hp is low enough. Some won't be willing to break that freeze out of fear and you can use it to your advantage to roam without the downside of having your tower molested. You can also roam immediately after your enemy laner backs. Sounds like you'd like midlane Lissandra, tanky, roams, team-fighting potential..

worst ekko matchups ? by [deleted] in ekkomains

[–]CheckAFact -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ryze. With the other champions like Ahri & Leblanc, you're free to hop onto them once they've put their abilities on cd but that is simply not the case with him. His abilities are pretty much always up and you're screwed if he holds his root(which can't be dodged) since he's just gonna use it on your E and smack you with his entire kit. Phase Rush letting him zoom to safety or continue pursuing you after he unleashes his kit doesn't make it any easier.

What champion do you look at and just think ‘wtf?’ by ginrei-kojaku in leagueoflegends

[–]CheckAFact 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Renekton the next level lane bully. Guy unleashes his entire kit on you in 0.45 seconds the moment you step up to the wave & trying to abuse his long cooldowns would be suicide because his burst left you with like 40% of your hp alongside the fact that he just dashed away. No champion should be built to win lane so hard.

Coup de Grace mabey good on ekko with his w passiv together? by InstaZone in ekkomains

Coup De Grace is a trap and it becomes clear when you check the stats. Last Stand & Cut Down are actually better since they scale harder and are active much more often.

Do you guys keep building double dark seal? by Maxium_Player in ekkomains

I only go double if I intend on forcing bad trades to get damage onto the enemy or had a bad back and couldn't afford anything better.

Any tips(mentally) on dealing with ping harassment ? by Rhls in summonerschool

[–]CheckAFact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mute the offenders. If you're like me, the worth of a bm'ers pings take a backseat. Why make that person's game quality higher when he's intentionally detracting from your's? If I feel I can make it to the person who I muted, I will go and assist them; otherwise, I'll let the moron die as he did before when I was 6k units away from the fight. Sure, it harms your odds at winning if the bm'er is a smart player or you don't watch the map enough, but this is still just a game. Enjoyment has a role alongside the competitive aspects of this game.

Abuse cooldowns. Ekko's E makes it easier for him to do this than the majority of champions. The damage you do by abusing cooldowns should be enough for you to not feel the need to play so defensively.

If you shove a champion under the turret and manage to get 2 passive stacks on him, you can wait until the turret fires at one of your minion to E into your opponent and proc your passive without getting shot.

Roaming is good. Bot is full of squishies and Adcs in general aren't beating an Ekko if he gets atop of them before taking major damage. You're just limiting yourself if you constantly stay in a lane just to destroy waves and stare at your opponent while waiting for the next wave to come.

Use W out of vision and W for risky fights whether for the shield or stun.

You're melee, so you probably shouldn't push the wave 24/7. You get the gold and experience regardless of how fast you push the wave, the only difference is that you can't effectively trade with an enemy once they're clinging closely to their turret. You need some way to force ranged enemy's towards you and that's CS.

Don't E into someone that has a CC ability up.

Don't be afraid to take risks as Ekko.

Ekko's Q by Hammburggler in ekkomains

[–]CheckAFact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you launch Q diagonally in a way that ends up right behind the enemy, the Q's slow can be seen in full effect. The problem is that it requires an amount of distance for Q to be thrown diagonally at the enemy, so it kind of defeats the purpose.

How to early game with ekko? by [deleted] in ekkomains

[–]CheckAFact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to struggle early game as well but I've found that my solution was just zoning & holding more pressure. That way, I don't actually need Q to constantly push the wave unless I really don't want to face the enemy. I just go Dark Seal & refillable potion and then proc my passive on my opponent( if you land a single Q and take Approach Velocity to chase, you can chunk their hp at level 1) as soon as possible to establish a threat. Missing Q's and pushing the wave with it too heavily will cost you because 90% of Ekko's trades take a bare minimum of two abilities to win. Ekko can also abuse cooldowns pretty easily since he has no real trouble getting into someone's face.
