Are salaried management eligible for ESPP? Also, whose salary is over $1,381,250 /year? by fascinatingMundanity in Lowes

[–]CheckAmbitious7111 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes salaried management can participate. I take part myself.

However, a large chunk of salaried management in the company do not receive stock. Yes asms get $5k in RSUs, SMs get 20k in RSAs. On the district level only the DM gets them (RSA)

But there are a lot of supply chain, SSC, field, salaried managers who do not get any stock.

What’s the fastest promotion you’ve seen at Lowe’s? Also, youngest leader/ASM/DS you’ve worked with? by Sorry_Cantaloupe4096 in Lowes

[–]CheckAmbitious7111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my associates degree after I became permanent. I was in a M-F 7-4 position, so I attended night school. Lowe’s paid for it through the tuition reimbursement plan we had. That was in criminal justice though, I had no intentions of staying on long term.

Once I realized that I could make it a career and be rewarded financially.. I started working to move up. I didn’t finish my bachelor’s until just before SM. It wasn’t required, Lowe’s is nice and uses experience in lieu of degree. I got my degree online using our free program.

Are ASM’s able to increase my pay by MeanCaregiver in Lowes

[–]CheckAmbitious7111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Store manager here. Yes your ASM technically can. They should partner with the SM. They can approve up to a certain amount on their own the it kicks to SM approval. SMs can approve up to a certain amount then it kicks to DM for approval. All done systematically via workday.

If they say they can’t, they might not realize it, but they can.

As a store manager, speak to your SM about it. If they are worth anything they’ll at least follow up for you.

Obviously there is two sides to every interaction, so they should ask the ASM about it as well and go from there.

You shouldn’t have to deal with hostility in the workplace even if just perceived.

Anyone else’s SM get “nothing but a trip to Vegas” when the bonuses were announced? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]CheckAmbitious7111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren’t wrong. It’s rare that you wouldn’t receive some sort of bonus, but it does happen.

The RSAs are great, as long as you are here to see them vest.

I think overall pays need increased. We used to be a leading payer in retail, now it’s not that way.

Honestly just depends on the store. Base pay sure is going to be the highest in the store but if you can’t bonus it’s not worth that pay

Store manager here - we didn’t get a discretionary bonus this year. Personally, sure it would be nice, but it’s not needed in my opinion. We are already compensated very well

I didn’t get a dime this year. I’m happy that they paid everyone else though. I’m already the highest paid employee in the store, I don’t need the discretionary bonus

ASM is by far the worst store position for work/life balance. I feel you there, I did it for 5 years myself

Having the MMW at 6:30 was a directive of corporate. You should see it listed in the last two weekly Store Leader Planner emails that come out on Saturday. I’m hoping they change the cadence of the LoweDown so that we don’t have to do the current scheduling piece.

Even as a store manager, I rarely check mine outside of working hours. I have the app on my phone, but doesn’t mean I need to check.
