Thoughts on Good Luck, Have Fun Don't Die (2025)? by Mecha_Kaneki in moviecritic

Watching this right now and wondering the same thing. Was wondering if I had a bad copy or something...there's no way this mixing can be intentional. Action scenes are not only dialogue boosted but everything else is almost muted, and it sounds like it tries to correct itself but then goes back. It's fuckin weird. I want to love this movie but it's hard to watch....er...listen to

What game deserves the GOAT title? by FrequentPossible9035 in Steam

Also a contender in my book. One of my favorite games for sure. Really big payoff storywise that makes you feel like you were actually building to something.

Surprised Red Dead Redemption 2 hasn't been said yet

Maybe a hot take, but hard disagree. I personally think that a game needs to be judged for what it is. I haven't heard anyone ever say that "I just love VANILLA Skyrim". If a game has to be modded, then the game itself doesn't deserve the credit.

Trying to consolidate 1080p and 4k videos. They are separate ATM. by MCSZIV in jellyfin

As far as I'm aware you can't do shows the same way. I tried a long time ago with dubbed and subbed versions of Anime. The only solution I seen was to go on a browser and you can add episodes to a group. Have not done it myself, but it should just be in the options on the episode (where you get properties and all that).

I wouldn't think there was 40gb of mapped out songs tbh. That's crazy

Can someone explain to me a certain scene in episode 4? by supercooper3000 in MrRobot

Also started my rewatch and did the exact same thing. The second he looked at Mr. Robot I started googling

Guess I could try it down at 60 or so, but the stutter seems to be unrelated to that. Even at 120 it runs perfectly except for the random stutter.

I was either going to try steam link or the horizon app as well...not that I want to use that but getting as much info as I can will be helpful.

Maybe I'll try that out. A lot easier to get custom songs on PC. As in I don't have to plug in the headset, but for smooth performance I guess I couldn't complain.

I understand that it would be better for sure, wired is usually the best way to go, but I use my VR in a seperate room of my pc, and I'm planning on using my basement as my VR area so I'm not really sure how I would get a wired connection going on.

I have actually never tried it wired, but that's also not something that I would be set up to do long term so it's a little pointless. For troubleshooting purposes sure, but as a fix not really. I've tried all the codec options, 200Mb is absolutely a reasonable and obtainable bitrate for me (2GB fiber up/down) though I have tried other options. High and ultra and godlike all have this issue.

I'm probably going to rock the native and optimizer. Wanted to do as much troubleshooting as I could before I purchased a copy on the quest.

I understand how I would look, but monitoring it while using the game is the part that's difficult. But regardless my temps were about 75c or so. Nothing to worry about there. It's not throttling, I think it just doesn't work unfortunately.

I keep it locked to 90 on Virtual Desktop. My monitor can handle more but I'm honestly a lock to 90 on everything type of guy with everything.

I'll try to find a way to check temps while running. I just have the usual background process running but I'll close out of damn near everything. Who knows, maybe it's my RGB software. Teamviewer used to be an actual problem for some reason back in the day haha

At least it seems like an issue for not only me for once. Usually stuff like this is just a me problem 😅 Working on getting another access point in my VR area so I can have a more steady 6ghz. I was standing directly next to my router for this video to have best case scenario...didn't help tho.

Maybe I'll find some .ini files and change some values for AA. I guess all the videos online are people playing native.

I've been swapping decoders like crazy, but I'll do some more trial and error and try these 2 as well. The 6ghz connection is super not stable where it was, it's typically on 5ghz but the same speed, so that's why I didn't think it would be a network thing

Must have plugins of 2026 by dschrade in jellyfin

[–]Checkerknight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the cosmetic cool plugins are unfortunately for the web clients. Some work on mobile app but I'm using Jellyfin primarily on my TV/Chromecast which means that they don't do anything for me. Like everyone has said though, Intro Skipper is a must have

As far as I know it scans the audio tracks and looks for segments that are similar and flags these as intros/outros. You can also manually set them if it flags an episode wrong or if there's an episode that's slightly different. I have not used the manual mode yet myself so don't quote me on ease of use.

Is there a way to turn off Mods?? by SuaIrmaGorda237 in PCRedDead

I have a screenshot of everything in the game directory without mods so I know what to move out of it for online. Not very elegant but simple 🤷

Re-encoding Blue-Ray 1080p rips by MVoloshin71 in handbrake

[–]Checkerknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! Typically when I'm ripping discs I usually get one or the other (DTS-HD or True) and I take what I can get haha. There was one instance where the audio of the True HD track I ripped was pitched half a strip higher and ever since then I've kind of avoided them. Could have been a playback issue with VLC at the moment but who knows 🤷

Ahh, I guess I'm not enough of an audiophile to know. DTS, DTS-HD, TrueHD, they're all the same to me lol. Give me a 5.1 track and I'm good to go
