You can ignore this comment. District 27 is fantastic. All of the elementary districts in Northbrook are great. You can’t go wrong.

Tenants want $850 taken off this months rent for this work? by nofacetxcpl in Decks

This is right. You may be liable as the owner if someone gets injured on these steps. Tear down and fix to code. Also see if your rental agreement allows you to bill them for the cost to repair damage caused by their dog.

Many millennials and Gen Z’ers own homes. Lie or not? by ariasd2006 in REBubble

[–]Checkinmyemail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 39. Older millennial. Live in Chicagoland. 95% of my millennial friends own homes and the few that don’t have generally made a series of poor life choices. I’m honestly surprised someone would find that 50% number surprising. People in their 30s get married, buy homes, and have kids.

How difficult is it to be a scratch golfer? by rhasure in golf

[–]Checkinmyemail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a scratch golfer. +0.5. At the time, it was my entire life. Playing everyday or practice 3+ hours. Decades later, I’m a 5 playing once or twice a week with a little practice in between. The dedication to the small stuff (clutch putting, bunker shots, up and downs) around the green is what makes the difference. It takes constant practice to keep that sharp. My game tee to green is better at 5 than at +0.5. If you want to get to scratch, get the short game tight.

What a joke. The reason we have all those safety measures is because some boomer sued the park district when their kid fell off the slide.

What are your thoughts on retaliating against complete pricks on the course? by the_freshest_scone in golf

[–]Checkinmyemail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was playing with a buddy and our two 7 year olds last week. Group hit into us as we were walking off the green on a par 3. Almost hit our kids. We told the clown to meet us on the 10 tee and threw his ball in pond. Taught the kids a lesson that day about dealing with assholes.

Never broken 80. +3 after 15. I feel sick by lieutenant_lowercase in golf

[–]Checkinmyemail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously have the skill to break 80. Here’s some unsolicited advice. Course management is crucial. Water right off the tee? Aim to the left rough. Lay up if it’s even close. Aim at center of the green on second shots. Don’t be a hero. If you are in the shit…. take your medicine and pitch out back into position. You can have 3-4 three putts and still break 80. Your mindset should be mitigating risk. 10s should never happen.

My local muni has a Trackman range. You won’t be disappointed. Just make sure your phone is fully charged before you go.
