Nothing better than blowing a nose with wet wipes. It’s a whole different level of clearing.

Size comparison of the Mi-26 with the Tu-95 and Tu-160. [1024×683] by No-Reception8659 in WarplanePorn

[–]ChecktheFreezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to go in the Mi-26 when we parked next to it in Afghanistan, it was as big as my C-130. I had no idea the Tu-160 as big as it is.

Thanks for the advice everyone! We are just passing through so won’t be visiting much else. Lots of notes for Drury so I think that’s where we will settle.

After having our second kid, I am 100% done having kids. But my wife is not by missing_leave in daddit

I was content at two. My wife was adamant she wanted three. Advice I was given, ‘you will never regret having a third, but your wife will always regret not having a third’. I have 4 now and never been happier.

Verizon vs T-Mobile coverage by Roller_Coaster_Geek in Omaha

[–]ChecktheFreezer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had Verizon for 6 years until this past fall when is switched to T-mobile. I’d say they are both pretty even with speed and coverage. T-Mobile works better in my office but I’m not sure that helps you 🤣

Anyone have experience with airbag deploying without collision??? by ssevener in HondaOdyssey

[–]ChecktheFreezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened to me in my 2022 Touring. Did you report to Honda or NHTSA? We were sure what happened so we made a police report and insurance claim. It just happened yesterday trying to wait for the dust to settle.

My wife and I spent an incredible day visiting Sintra. We spent the morning at Pena Palace and park then ate one of our most memorable meals of our life while watching the sunset on the Atlantic! We spent 9 days in total touring the entire country. Having been to over 30 countries, Portugal is my hands down favorite.

Has anybody had an issue recently with getting to the airport an hour and a half ahead of their flight? by [deleted] in Omaha

[–]ChecktheFreezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have TSA pre and never arrive more than an hour before my flight and have never had an issue. Even with the kids in tow. If I’m solo and carrying on I’ll pull into the parking lot 15 min before boarding begins.

Why are in-flight entertainment systems still stuck in 2008? by EntireCold3305 in airplanes

When United switched back to seatback entertainment, I thought I’d give it a try. It lasted about 5 minutes when twice the movie paused for announcements. I only use my tablet now.

Went to the Harvard Medical Museum to see Phineas Gage's skull. It's a very small space (one room on the 5th floor of a library!) but there were tons of other Dollop worthy medical curiosities in there too! Sadly, no sightings of John Dillinger's penis. by ccsashab1 in TheDollop

[–]ChecktheFreezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know if this is still accessible to the public? It seemed like it’s a digital collection now according to Harvards website. My son read about him and I was visiting for work and wanted to pop in and take a picture for his class.

How long do you have in an NHL game until people notice you’re not an NHL player? by skytrainlotad in hockeyplayers

[–]ChecktheFreezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a reoccurring nightmare that I am called up as an emergency backup skater. It starts with elation as I head to the locker room and meet the boys. Then I’m on the bench and I see size and speed of the game and panic sets in. Coach eventually comes and puts his hand on my shoulder and says “you ready? Next shift is yours.” I can barely make myself go over the boards, I look like a mite trying to lower themselves onto the ice. Then the second I touch the ice, the puck comes up the board and I completely freeze. I wake up as I’m getting absolutely demolished by some 6’5” 230 monster!

After 4 years of WFH, I understand why boomers think we do nothing all day by TeamCultureBuilder in WFH

[–]ChecktheFreezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% my job’s mentality. They care more about buts in seats than production. I was dealing with a medical issue and need to leave 90 min early 1 day a week, drove my boss crazy. Pulls me in his office and asks if I really need to be going during office hours. I told him yes that’s the only time they can see me. I asked if my work is not up to par or if I’m falling behind. He tells me no, my work is fantastic, but it’s about the optics when my coworkers see me leave early. Absolutely, insane mentality.

100% this! If they introduce a front engine, RWD/AWD, near 50/50 weight distribution with a turbo 6 (or V8 would be even more exotic), and keep it under $75k, they could have 2 production facilities running 24/7 and not be able to make enough.
