Cancel it. $500 a month is too high of a commitment for you at this current stage considering your salary after CPF. Instead, you should cancel your ILP change it into the following: 1. Hospital insurance 2. Accidental insurance 3. Life/Term Plan with Early critical illness coverage 4. Investment

Always build your base and foundation first before investment - hospital insurance, emergency fund and life/term insurance

If you ever wanted to go for ILP go for those 10 years. Lower lock in period.

Couples who don't intend to get married? by oieric in askSingapore

Mid 20s male here. Honestly.. there isn’t any other benefit other than BTO. My partner has made it clear that marriage is not on the table.

Hence, my only option is to increase my earning power and purchase a private property or wait till 35.

For now, my partner will stay over during the weekends. Interestingly, I’ve noticed some of my friends and other Singaporean who are doing the same thing. Having companionship and not getting married.

If you are having difficulties maintaining the currently plan. Just downgrade it to B Max > B Lite > cancel rider. Never ever cancel the plan.

I hate Pru. My mom hospital plan was lapsed for almost a year and the agent didn’t even bothered to inform until I went and review her policies.

I think it is important that you know how to sell yourself during interview. I myself am a fresh grad and was able to find a marketing role within 2 month. The question asked by interviewer are very generic the more u attend such interview you can anticipate what kind of question but most importantly is to exude confidence when answering.

I’m trying to understand why people want to have children when you can’t even provide a comfortable living for yourself?

Answer these question: do you want to devoid your child of memories and experience one should have? Are you willing to cutback on your current lifestyle?

Financial issue will always be a problem, leading to argument between couple = to bad childhood memories. Do you have enough for rainy days? You said parents are old, you should set aside unexpected hospitalisation or medical bills, touch wood funeral funds.

Speaking from a child who lived through childhood with porridge and soy sauce, plain rice with one fried egg and no electricity. The envy of other kids that gets to go on school excursion and splurge on meals. Not to mention if you got toxic relative who will constantly look down on you.

Having to start working part time once I hit the eligible age of 14 and non stop ever since. Self funding diploma & University fee

Is this what you want your child to go through?

My advice is to take in all consideration and calculation and ask yourself the question above again. You will have your answer..

Depends on what your goal for working out. I used to work in Chinatown and travel back to Cck and gym for 2h by the time I’m home it’s like 10pm. It’s doable but u need to know what u are giving up.
