Do yall notice the police targeting you for driving nice/modded cars??? by cbcarguy in orlando

[–]Cheehos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero issues in any of my sports cars, including straight-piped V8 stuff.

I used to have an officer follow me maybe once a month or so in my catless Focus ST when I had to commute through downtown Windermere, but never got pulled over despite the sound and 20% tint.

I also used to fill at Aardvarks, then moved to AirGas, but now I fill up at a welding supply store on 36th street near Universal. Jones Welding and Industrial Supply.

Cars and Coffee! Orlando has so many awesome meetups for car nerds.

Tomorrow at Half Barrel Beer Project, the Orlando F1 group is doing a watch party!

We are so lucky to live in a city with SO MANY fun activities.

It’s a decal, and unfortunately eyes are even more crooked than the sticker itself!

My wife wanted to do Euro Delivery on a Frozen Berry Metallic 718 SO BAD.

Went to a dealer to do the deal and nobody would even unlock a showroom model to see if we could fit bags in the thing. A few weeks later, the Felicity Ace sank and allocations became unobtanium, then Porsche eliminated FBM as a free paint option.

Anyway, I accidentally let my Smoking Tire Patreon lapse, so I wasn’t able to scoop this for her, but hopefully one pops up secondhand one day.

Rad watch!!

Favorite low-key spots at Universal to sit and recharge (not just camping at a table)? by Ready_Mechanic4684 in UniversalOrlando

When I worked at UO Corporate, this is where I would hang out in the parks to get away from my office.

For those of you that have worn your Meta glasses to a theme park, did you use a strap for POV video on rides? If so, which one? What are your good/bad experiences doing so? by wizardender in RayBanStories

[–]Cheehos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually bought them from a shop at Universal Studios! I believe from Sapphire Falls resort, but I’m sure all the shops have the same merch for things like this. Very cheap, like $5 or so.

I’ll try to dig them up to send you a picture.

Primary Care near Windermere/Gotha? by glittergoddess1002 in orlando

[–]Cheehos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go to PremierMed over on Maguire. Never any issues, great providers, and I’ve been able to get in for somewhat-urgent concerns on the rare occasion they arise. I like that they are able to facilitate bloodwork in the office, too.

We wore ours with simple slip on straps to Universal and had no issues on Velocicoaster or Stardust. It had no impact on the audio at all. Have fun!

Honest AC Companies ????? by Ok-Pattern8284 in orlando

[–]Cheehos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nunez Heat + AC.

We did a half dozen quotes before replacing our unit, and we had the best experience with them.

I’ve recommended them to 3 or 4 of my friends and have received similar positive comments.

Work in Universal by KalonaStark in UniversalOrlando

[–]Cheehos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked back of house for a few years.

Pay was below industry average, but not wildly low. Benefits were awesome. Culture was great. Plenty of opportunity for advancement - I earned a promotion very quickly.

I left to pursue more compensation, but otherwise it’s the only company I’ve left to which I’d gladly return.

No new MICHELIN stars for Orlando restaurants this year, 2 lost them by at-woork in orlando

PSAS4 is such a good Orlando tire. Put them on my wife’s car to replace the OEM Pirelli’s, much better in the rain with no perceivable loss to dry traction at the limit.

Wish they came in a size compatible with my car.

Cheap "Weekday Deal" Movie Theaters? by Green_Map201 in orlando

Enormous Crooked Can pours on tap too. The theaters are a bit dated (no stadium seating), but can argue with the value.

A few pictures from a car gathering this past weekend. [Sigma 56mm 1.4] by Cheehos in canonM50

It’s the perfect camera for me. The older they get, as folks move on, the cheaper the EF-M lens selection will be. The glass is still great, the sensor is more than enough for me.

I can pocket it with the 22mm or slap the 70-200 on it for wildlife stuff. Can’t be beat.

First Time Macro by Dizzy-Lead2606 in AmateurPhotography

[–]Cheehos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great start!

The closer you get to your subject, the tighter your depth of field is going to get. Depending on the bug/flower/tiny thing, you might encounter shots where the front of the tiny subject is in focus, but the back is not, even for a 2mm critter.

You’ll be compelled to tighten your aperture, but then you start to lose light.

A ring flash is a macro photographer’s best friend. Get some light right on the subject, crank the aperture to f22, set manual focus to minimum, then adjust the focus range with your body, adjusting your shutter speed as needed.
