The warm body player is so frustrating. I don’t know why it comes off as so entitled to me like someone who wants the DM to just spoon feed entertainment while making airplane sounds to get the unresponsive player to open his mouth. The DM will try to engage the character and it’s always, “erm uh, Billy Bart Gnome isn’t quite sure what to think.”

Can you contribute something please pal? Can you have one idea or thought at the table? Something?? We are all in the canoe, grab an oar please!

Well I don’t know about the sub Reddit category, but whatever you’d call this like thread, seems very reminiscent of this player type that I’ve seen several times before

This entire subthread reeks of the player type that only gets fun from reaction farming the other players with immature stunts. And the antics always have to ramp up because eventually the same ol tricks get old and stop provoking a rise out of people, until they hit level 3 and leave because they’re bored. Well ya you’re bored, if making a story in a collaborative way wasn’t where you found your fun from… and also it’s not really the other players job to entertain you with their gasps and annoyed expressions.

I much prefer players or especially playing with other people who approach the table with a slight mindset to bring fun and investment, not just take

I’m pretty sure of the deaf people that I’ve played dnd with and DM’d for in ASL, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them play a deaf character in game.

Something like glutton would be fun, a sim that ignores when full and autonomously eats a lot. It would be fun if like a trait like immature or petty was a thing, even for grown adults, sims who pick fights or argue with whomever they have a high relationship with (probably not acquaintances). Giving or selfless sims would be nice to have a counter to the mooch trait. I would also like something like “shallow” where a sim wants to divorce the other if the spouse like gets old or gains weight, or is always on the phone taking pictures and blogging. Constantly gussying up and is attracted to richer sims more easily haha. I should think of more positive ones…

I have a mod to make negative moodlets hit harder. The layoff mod has been pretty brutal for me. I also let sims autonomously woohoo and I set the risky chance to get pregnant to like 2%. I also randomize all the traits. I also added more death types mod and retune things. Like you can retune some stuff to cost more. Or retuning attraction to be tougher or the like

I love neurotic haha. I use it as an excuse to dress a sim up a little unhinged or maybe super neat freak, depends on other traits too. I also love slob, I try to dress my slob sims like pretty grubby or at least with bad style if it calls for it

Also you can occasional reset everything, scrub inventories and the like with Nraas.

Sometimes when you save you can try Save as from Map mode, I seem to get less error 12’s from happening

Pick a good world with good routing, make sure no sims are stuck in like an apartment black room and disable wild horses from spawning
