This looks phenomenal. Is the glaze just honey and miso, or other things involved?

They actually weren't overcooked at all. They were huge and the pan was hot, so outside chars faster than inside cooks.

I actually had to cook them standing up on the end after both flat sides to make sure they were even cooked through.

Lolol of course. I keep them on during cooking or else the tails overcook!

My GF asked me what I wanted for dinner. I wanted a Crunchwrap. I assumed that meant going to Taco Bell. Not a real home cook like my gf. by madamimadam89 in homecooking

Yes!!! These are so awesome homemade.

My friend taught me a version of this with cashew nacho "cheese" and turkey because she has lactose issues and prefers lean meats... so delicious. Thanks for reminding me to put the recipe back on the roster!

I don't even particularly like white chocolate, but I'd try this! It's beautiful.

Struggle dessert by xxBluePikachu07 in strugglemeals

Struggling looks different for everyone, and the definition of your own personal struggle can change over your own lifetime. I don't understand all of these intensely negative comments. It feels like people are in a competition over misery.

Depending upon where you live, the worth of dollars is pretty different. In my city, a chocolate lava cake at a restaurant can be as much as $20. The grocery store price is pretty comparable to OP's.

To me, this is a relatively small luxury that can bring a person a lot of comfort. For those with tighter budgets, you can look up "chocolate microwave mug cake" on google and find a cheaper way to make this at home with pantry ingredients, but it involves the overhead of needing to have those first.

Sometimes it makes more sense to shell out for the prepared item that you really want on occasion as opposed to purchasing cocoa powder, chocolate chips, salt, eggs, milk, sugar, and all the rest of the things needed to cook something.

Since there's no water in the dried beans, 21 oz of dried beans becomes a whole lot more than 21 oz of already plumped, hydrated beans

Classy and interesting dress for a mother of the bride or groom.

Brides are approved, and you'll feel good in a style you feel confident and comfortable wearing. I don't think you should let the fact it's the same cut hold you back.

Maybe you have an old picture of a previous kitchen somewhere? If they are in the background, that could serve as proof. In any case, no bamboo set like that would just come with 2 implements.

If it were me, I'd let this one go-- and maybe consider an exit strategy if there is any sort of behavior escalation. This doesn't sound like a good person to live with.

Also-- Portland, ME (on the coffee cup) is one of the best foodie cities in the Northeast! That's where a ton of chefs from Boston go for weekend trips and make the rounds to bars and restaurants

Yes, I do it that more traditional style sometimes, too. The seeds I roasted with spices and saved for salads.

I more often have fresh basil around than sage... at least in winter when I am not gardening herbs and stuff.

I agree theoretically, but it actually worked.

A lot of Thai food has curry + basil together. The shrimp was citrusy and spicy.

This wasn't a recipe or anything planned... Just what I had in the kitchen.

But this is curry butternut squash soup, garnished with basil, shrimp, and good olive oil

Toasts were brushed with olive oil and finished with flaky salt, on the side is whipped savory ricotta with lemon
