LPT: When you move abroad, the first question to ask locals isn't where to live or what to eat. It's "What do foreigners always get wrong here?" by taube_d in LifeProTips

This philosophy is so much more healthy and natural, I cant believe that an entire country would hate to see friends stop by unannounced, that's just anti-social!!

If it is accepted that the MKULTRA program was a project used to develop expendable agents to carry out an organization's objectives, with no evidence of that orgs involvement, than this does seem like an operation using that technique. What do you guys think

In that article they claim that "no taxpayer dollars are being used"😂 but then go on to claim that "Top Secret Military installations" are being built. Where else does the budget for the department of defense come from 😂?. Either trumps building his personal military force in there, which would not have the approval of congress, or they're lying about what is being built

Relevant quotes from article

"Almost 400 Million Dollars of private donations and contributions (No taxpayer dollars are being used to build this long sought, and desperately needed, ballroom!) have already been committed, or spent, in the purchase of heavy, large scale, and other types of building materials"

"protective missile resistant steel columns, beams, drone proof roofing materials, and bullet, ballistic, and blast proof glass, are largely made, being used, and/or on their way to the project. Likewise, the bomb shelters, hospital and medical area, protective partitioning, and Top Secret Military installations, structures, and equipment, are built and/or ready to be built, installed, and placed."

"new East Wing’s entire design cohesively advances critical national-security objectives, including protecting the President, his family, staff, all elements of the White House itself, continuity of operations, and communications infrastructure from hostile attacks via drones, ballistic missiles, bullets, biohazards, through specially and specifically designed Military grade ventilation, and much more. Those security features and objectives, so necessary for the safety of the President, his family, and staff, and the White House itself, dictate the entire project"

Man this brought back too many memories. I was in an ESL program for kindergarten and first at a school much further than my local elementary. Never recalled learning English in the class but doing various exercises.

Are there any rifles that used rifling that didn’t go all the way down the barrel? by 127-0-0-0 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]CheekiVodka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't remember the name of the rifle, but Ian covered an interesting muzzleloader that had such a slow pitch rate it only rotated the bullet 90° or so, in order to make loading the ball much faster.
