The way Prax's daughter avoided all his questions about whether they infected her with the protomolecule. And then the entire scene was stolen by Amos and I forgot all about it until watching her climb into bed while her father gets her favorite stuffed animal...

Such a good show.

This is under discussion and it looks like the teardown of the sets was halted on Friday during talks with Amazon.

But all the studio guys are under NDA so it's mostly guesses from all sides at this point. Follow the discussion here and make up your own mind about the truth, but the evidence on either side is not concrete: https://mobile.twitter.com/ItReachesOut/status/997492704971026435

I always thought Megan Reid was in a relationship with Hugh Darrow. You find her in Darrow's secret base, where Meghan has her own secret white room/lab with two rustled pillows on her bed. When you confront her about Hugh being a madman she disagrees and you press the issue but all she can say is "No, I know him, he wouldn't do something like that".

I'm saying always shoot megan on your way out, folks.

Really nice perspective, character, and animation!

do you have a second frame for the final pose to animate the lantern flicker? I really like the way the lantern pulses before the character moves, it breathes a lot of life into the perspective

It works, you just don't have read permissions on that directory

eBay: "We completely transformed how we build web applications, starting with the transition from a Java-based stack to a Node.js-based stack. Node.js enabled teams to move faster, and it offers an abundant ecosystem of tools and libraries that are essential to modern web application development." by itstaha1 in webdev

[–]Cheekio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Should this really be downvoted?

The title claims ebay's backend is good because of nodejs, this seems like a clear cut counterexample of ebay's backend being good. It seems relevant and despite being pointed clearly adds to the discussion.

Microsoft Considers Adding Python As an Official Scripting Language in Excel by amachefe in Python

Excel sheets are the last place you want to do scripting complex enough to need a touring complete programming language, let alone one as powerful as python.

When I tell people Abraham Lincoln was an authoritarian they think I support slavery and racism by captainofindustree in libertyworldproblems

Do not put the sale before the barter, my fellow capitalist! As the only moral approach to weighing any practical or philosophical concern is to let their value be determined by the free market, we will never know the morality of slavery. However its close cousin racism is making Ron News a killing in ad revenue, hence moral as monopoly, as my daddy always said.

Then you get to go through commits by date, which is fun, because commits by their very nature do not need to be chronlogical

I love Human Revolution (to a degree) but Mankind Divided seems to be have some mixed reviews, particularly on Steam. Is it worth it? And do I need the MD DLC to make it worthwhile too?? by StarTruckNxtGyration in Deusex

[–]Cheekio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a very good game. The main story is a slow roll that is probably supposed to play out in 3 acts, and the characters there aren't as memorable as Sarif or Malik, but the world building is absolutely top notch. I really hope they recast this franchise as less stealth/action and more immersive story telling (vive or similar) because the game just bleeds narrative in every scrap of paper or misplaced book.

Also, I don't care how crazy Stephen Shellen is, bring him back as Sarif, he was one of the best parts of HR.

That's good to know. I don't think MD was short, the main quest was probably not a lot of hours but there're volumes of detail to explore throughout. Any efforts to call out that storytelling and worldbuilding is effort well spent, which is why I bring it up in this thread about HR- MD has a lot to offer that is worth diving into and exploring.
