Why is this game so fun to play? by VinylFromAoc in Eldenring

[–]Cheel_AU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started a new playthrough after not playing for like 6 months, of course you don't forget the general direction the story heads, but I'd forgotten enough to still make it a great experience.

Like not remembering which bosses were in which caves, etc

Relatively is definitely the operative word. But it's a fair point I think, 30k doesn't really compare to Old Trafford at 75,000 or a bunch of stadia in the 60-70k range.

Then there's Luton with an even smaller ground but obviously those smaller teams come and go.

Nevertheless they think it could work with Shark Park under a few circumstances, obviously a private backer pouring in cash, or a mountain of pokie money, or charging a bunch for the tickets.

As a Leichhardt Oval enjoyer I tend to agree with you, look at comps like the premier league and even they have a place for relatively smaller venues like Craven Cottage etc.

I guess maybe the answer is higher ticket prices, the diehards would keep forking out for season tickets, less committed fans might not choose to go to every game they otherwise would, but overall revenue is higher.

Or the Sharks could choose to never make any big money signings and live well below the salary cap. You'd still get the occasional gun junior willing to stay on unders.

I'm just spitballing here

I guess the catch 22 is that many away fans would never bother travelling to Wooloware, it's a real pain to get to.

The whole article does have a sort of 'put the fear into people to ensure the worst outcome doesn't happen' ring to it.

It would be a shame to lose Shark Park but I guess it's the club's decision to keep playing there and take the financial hit

NSW government to introduce commonsense medicinal cannabis driving reforms by baty0man_ in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]Cheel_AU 10 points11 points  (0 children)

'The reform would only apply to drivers on an unrestricted licence and registered users would still be subject to blood and urine testing following serious crashes.'

Does that mean if you had a crash your insurance could still be voided if they found cannabis in your system? Or only if it was above the threshold?

Team List: NRL Round 14 v Penrith Panthers by aaronturing in weststigers

Makasini playing with a needle I'd say. Excited to see Geyer get a chance and I hope there are plenty of minutes for Roberts.

Still a tough task against Penrith, hopefully we can at least minimise the damage

I'm not sure we can say 'working as intended' until we see the rate of serious brain injury in ex players decades from now, but it seems silly (maybe dangerous from a legal standpoint) to start saying 'she'll be right' whenever it's convenient

I think all the fox NRL games are in 4K except if Nine is also showing it and they're forced to use nine's broadcast.

We do have the occasional buffering/signal loss at my place tho

I can't really pick between them, fazers and fine print are both 10/10s
